I wanted something to keep a eye on the front door area and also to keep a eye on the dog`s when they are out back. This is perfect. A true plug and play. The soft red glow of the LED`s at night around the lens is comforting to my surprise. If a intruder see`s this lite....it`s to late. It starts recording before they are in about 4 sec. in view. I could go on....
I would recommend this to a friend!

Keeps stating "Out Of Range"

This is an updated comment. Had the Phoenix M2 for 16 months, it is easy to set-up, has a great picture, many great features, and good customer support. However, I have found that there is a problem with the unit being used in a cold environment. Eventually ( a week or two) the "Out Of Range" notice pops up frequently and there is no picture until it resets itself, eventually the picture never comes back. I purchased another camera, set it up and I once again had a picture. After leaving the original camera in the house for several days, I tried using it to see if it would work and it did. I would suggest that if you are going to purchase the system, and you live in a cold climate, you should purchase the system that comes with two cameras so you will have a spare camera to change out when required.

I BOUGHT THE DEFENDER PHOENIXM22 JAN./2018 AND I AM VERY HAPPY
WITH IT BECAUSE I WANTED A SYSTEM TO WATCH MY CAR AND THE FRONT DOOR .I LOVE IT AND I AM GOING TO BUY A THIRD CAMERA FOR THE FRONT YARD I GOT PROBLEM WITH THE SECOND CAMERA I CALLED
THE CUSTOMER SERVICE FOR HELP THEY ARE EXCELLENT FOR HELPING ME TO BE FIXED EVEN AFTER WARRANTEE EXPIRED .

We bought this a few months ago and have had it up and running for about 1 month. We are VERY PLEASED with how it is working. It is providing everything that we need. The pictures are clear.. day or night. I really like that it records the video on a SDHC card. This system requires outlets and figuring out where to put the cameras and plug them in, etc. took longer than the actual system set up. There is a downloadable instruction book. I wish that it would have come with a paper book instead. That was a bit of a hassle for me personally. I printed off a copy and that was helpful to figure out how to use the different features. Overall we are VERY HAPPY with this purchase so far and feel as if this is a FABULOUS product!
