I really enjoyed building this set because nothing in the build was overly repetitive and the directions were straightforward. The Jango minifigure is pretty awesome and the Boba figure is decent even with the bad hair piece. The only major issue I had was with the number of stickers. UCS sets should contain mostly printed parts. Lastly, the price in my opinion is justified for the number of pieces you get.
This is a long overdue set, plagued by 4 major problems. Name of set-Use of stickers-Jango’s blasters-Boba’s hair piece. We will start with the name of the set. This is Jango Fett’s Slave 1. Though it may be more of Disney’s fault for this discrepancy, i’m still going to bring it up. The next problem is the use of stickers. In a set like this, everything should be prints. Stickers make it look cheap and tacky. There’s plenty of competition out there using strictly prints (and a lot of them). The next issue is Jango’s blasters. I wish a new mold was made for his blasters, as these specific pieces were used as accessories that you’d tie a string through in Lego City fire sets back in the day if i’m remembering correctly. One of the final issues I have with the set is Boba’s hair piece. To keep things short and sweet, the original hair piece is far superior. Other than these issues, it’s a nice set that is long overdue.
I didn't plan on buying this but when I actually saw it I quickly changed my mind. Much bigger than I thought it was going to be and really fun to build. A very small minus for the stickers but not enough to even take away a point! Excellent build Lego!
When I first heard that this set could be coming, I was ecstatic; and the Lego group absolutely came through. This is the most beautiful model of the ship ever built. The base is thick with just the right amount of curve, the nose is sleek and perfectly angled, the backside is incredibly detailed, and they even added a complete cockpit interior to fit a whole 5 minifigs. Speaking of the minifigs the new Jango Fett figure is fantastic, taking everything we loved from the older figures while adding so much more detail. (Yes, the grey jet pack is accurate though less iconic) This set certainly isn’t without it’s flaws, such as the very inaccurate Boba minifig and the many stickers; the ones on the seismic charge should have 100% been printed. The rest of my complaints are just minor nitpicks however and I still think this is the finest addition to my collection yet. Thanks Lego, you did this one right.
Full of incredible building techniques leading to the best looking Fett Starship Lego has ever assembled. Found myself stopping and admiring after each numbered bag. Favorite part of the set is have a substantial interior that can fit 5 minifigures! Incredible value definitely recommend!
While the set is amazing and the Jango is 10/10, the Boba Fett figure isn't up to standards, so much so that the actor that plays him in episode 2 (Daniel Logan) came out saying it was inaccurate. Lego, you have the right hairpiece to use on him, and fix the belt - make it black! You did it great in 2013.
