This was surprisingly one of the best sets I’ve ever built - 200+ sets of this size and counting). I was NOT expecting this to be as fun or challenging of a build as it was. I love all the details - bummed there were no minifigs but the Endeavor primed me for that. This set is solid and super fun as well as a great display piece.
I am currently on bag 5 of this build and have 3 missing pieces, in one bag. Ive had to place 3 requests for missing pieces, and I will probably have to place even more requests along the way, making the process extremely frustrating and taking the fun out of building this beautiful set. I'm very disappointed to see this many mistakes in a set of this price, I expected better.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just finished it 2 days ago. I have it in the front window, and it looks so cool. I had a lot of fun building this. It is by far the coolest set I’ve ever done. For me well worth the money.
This is one of the best sets I have built! The exterior is absolutely stunning but the detailed interior is what sets it apart. Would absolutely recommend!
This is a fun build and looks great when completed. However, would be great if - like the “Endurance” - this one had a temporary stand for use when building. I had to rebuild the rudder several times as it would break off when I sat the model down/tried to move when building. Holding the model doesn’t really work as the sides are too fragile (when building) to grab. That said, the build is again fun and the finished model is great.
I built this set with my 6 year old son, who absolutely loved the experience. From the unique builds of each room and level (the band room being a personal favorite) to the movement of the rudder and propellers, it was so much fun. It also looks amazing on our shelf. Another great Lego Ideas set!
I'd like to see more like this. Good design and very straightforward build. I'd change the order of assembly a little because there were a couple of pieces that were not braced until several later steps and I kept knocking them off. Even the rigging went well and really helps the appearance.
