This is a fun build. The details are really great... however, one of the greatest details it could have, but it's desperately missing would be a group of minifigs to bring it to life. There's a stage with music and tables with drinks, but no singer or patrons to add to it. There's no captain of the ship or guests on board to walk around. There's a kitchen with no chef.... Minifigs bring a build to life. This build needs that.

I'd like to see more like this. Good design and very straightforward build. I'd change the order of assembly a little because there were a couple of pieces that were not braced until several later steps and I kept knocking them off. Even the rigging went well and really helps the appearance.

I bought this set because I had a long weekend and it’d been awhile since I’d built a Lego. I’ve always enjoyed sets scaled for mini-figs and thought it looked like a fun build. I’ll just say, I couldn’t have been more impressed! From start to finish it’s so cool to watch each layer of the steamboat come together with the astounding level of detail for each level. At the end when you don’t know how there could possibly be more, you begin adding things you didn’t even think about, but things that make sense for a river steamboat. I’d highly recommend this set—also is HUGE and looks great on display.

Impressive model. Fun to build, although somewhat repetitive. Sadly, I cannot get the rudder to stay on. The pin that holds it is not secured so easily detaches from the rudder.

Using the builder app on other sets I was able to rotate the image to get a different view of piece placement. Doing this set with the app I can't look at the step from different angles. Am I doing something wrong or is this function not available anymore?

This for quality control. I found that piece #6514136 does not fit in to #6522056. That's the little window into the wooden door. I had to file down the window on its sides in order to make the window to fit. You might want to look to that. Other than that, it was a great build. That said alot coming from someone who lives close to the Ohio river.
