I grew up with Pixar and it brings me so much joy to have a model of the iconic lamp in my room. It articulates and moves great to pose into different positions, and I love having it sit on the ball. The build experience was fun with lots of cool techniques I’ve never seen before like the rubber bands and technic work.

Got this for our 13 yo Pixar obsessed autistic son. He LOVES it!!! He had to “phone an AFOL” (me) a couple times when he made missteps but he managed to do it almost all himself. It’s a tough build for a kid but it’s so cool. He plays with it all the time now that it’s finished and it’s held up well. Very pleased with this build.

This set wasn't really on my radar, but was definitely on my wife's. Loved the inner build of the ball with the different color choices to pay homage to the different Pixar movies. Very creative. Overall a very enjoyable build.

Supper fun to build with tons of hidden Easter eggs. Very highly recommend for anybody who loves Pixar. It’s a good size and is great to display in many different places.

Pixar is a core memory for me. From their shorts, to their feature length movies, to their tv show style animations, they mean a lot to me a person. Seeing more Pixar Lego sets has brought joy to my soul. The Luxo Jr. lamp set is no different. This set has a lot of small details on the inside, like most Pixar movies. I won't spoil it but the base build was some fantastic and nice additions that I didn't expect. The whole build is fun, allowing you to stand the lamp on the ball, or have it nearby. You can also 'pose' Luxo Jr. just like in the opening credit for Pixar sheepishly 'looking' at the camera after squashing the letter 'I'. It's a fantastic set for sure!

This was so much fun to build. I am a huge Disney Pixar fan and this needed to be a part of my small LEGO collection. A bit pricey in my opinion, specially if you only get 20 points for it but overall this is a great set!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the LEGO Ideas Disney Pixar Luxo Jr. in exchange for my honest review. LEGO did not disappoint! This set is adorable! The first set of instructions for the ball were pretty easy, but the difficulty level increased once moving to Luxo Jr.. I was able to finish the set in an evening, which was very much enjoyable. I appreciate the hidden Easter eggs throughout the build. This set was the perfect balance between nostalgia and what we all love about LEGO.
