Lint and sensor dry

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I understand the reason for sensory dry but at times the dryer cycle will end when I don’t want it to.
Also, the lint ends up all around the door. I don’t know why it doesn’t go in the lint tray. I’ve never had this issue before.

Hello there, Chanel520! Thank you for sharing your experience. I completely understand how frustrating it can be when your dryer doesn’t behave the way you expect, especially when a cycle ends sooner than you’d like or lint isn’t collecting properly.
Regarding the Sensor Dry feature, you’re absolutely right, its purpose is to detect moisture levels and stop the cycle once they are dry to help prevent over-drying. However, if you find that it’s ending too soon for your preference, you may want to try using a Timed Dry cycle instead. This allows you to manually set the drying duration and gives you more control over the results.
As for the lint collecting around the door, that’s definitely not typical behavior. A few things you might check:
1. Ensure the lint filter is fully seated and not damaged
2. Clean the lint screen before every load (even a thin layer can affect airflow)
3. Check for any buildup or obstruction around the lint trap housing or door seal
4. Make sure the dryer door is sealing tightly
If the issue persists, it could indicate restricted airflow or a seal issue that may need further inspection.
