I bought this for myself as a birthday gift and couldn’t be happier. I love to bake and have been using a hand mixer. I didn’t realize what I was missing! It’s SO quiet and mixes so well. I also got a couple of the attachments and am excited about those as well.

I have a rotator cuff injury and mixing by hand was becoming too painful. I decided to get a standing mixer because I would not have to hold it. I had not thought about how nice it was outside of pain relief to have the ability to not have to hold a hand mixer or try to stir or mix ingredients by hand. This is one of those things where you did not know you needed it until you got it and then wished you had gotten one sooner.

I am disappointed in the way this stand mixer performs. The paddle attachment does not touch the bottom of the bowl, thus ingredients under it never get incorporated into the recipe!! I have looked into a paddle with a scraper edge ( I believe this would correct the problem) but turns out Cuisinart is the ONLY manufacturer that does not offer this attachment! Unfortunately, I don't enjoy using the stand mixer I thought was going to make my baking experiences so much easier.

I have not used a stand mixer since my mother’s ancient Sunbeam. I got by with a progression of Cuisinart hand mixers, but recently decided to make more of my own staples like focaccia, dog treats, and cookies to keep in the freezer and pulled out one by one so I can avoid the seed oils and additives to packaged foods. (Even the bakery uses canola oil instead of olive oil in their bread!) This big boy gets the job done with less mess and less work. Next I want to try the fruit sorbet attachment.

Bowl is too narrow to add ingredients while it’s on and it doesn’t work to use the cover with the spout because the ingredients don’t mix and you need to scrape the sides too often. I returned it.

Very disappointed. Ordered this stand mixer and was so excited to use it when it arrived. I tried 3 different recipes; pizza dough, cookies and cake. In all 3, the mixer failed to completely blend the ingredients. I read the booklet, which said to stop and scrape the bowl often, including the bottom. With the cake batter, I fully stopped and scraped at least 6 times and still had dry cake batter at the bottom.
That’s pretty labor intensive, and is completely opposite of what a stand mixer is intended to be used for. I know others that have stand mixers, different brand, and they do not have this issue. It’s a beautiful mixer, but not what I was expecting.
