I've made 3 batches of cookie dough and a batch of bread dough with this mixer. I liked the performance for the bread dough, but the cookie dough not so much. Instead of "Fluffing" the butter and sugars, it just kind of slapped it to the bottom and sides of the bowl, requiring frequent stops to scrape. Even then I never got the nice fluffy yellow consistency I was looking for. I've used my parent's "well known brand " stand mixer with much better results. I gave it 3 stars because it did do ok for the bread dough.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Be sure to hand stir ingredients because mixer does not stir all of ingredients at the bottom of the bowl thoroughly.

The Cuisinart stand mixer is sturdy, well made, and pretty to look at. I bought it mainly to use the knead hooks for making bread but will be using it for baking as well.

This mixer is wonderful, with its multiple speeds, and the weight of it. Much lighter than my older stand mixer. Makes breads and cookies a breeze to make and the pour spout, although a little difficult, is great for mixing in the dry ingredients.

I’ve made cookies, sweet dinner rolls, and meringue so far. This mixer works perfectly. I don’t regret choosing this one over KitchenAid. Also, the turquoise color is really pretty. I also ordered the ice cream maker attachment and am looking forward to using it.
