I just completed this build. Whereas most of the structure is locked down and secure, as you get closer to the roof areas it because more difficult and fragile. There is a balcony on the third level that is almost impossible to have stay together. This became very frustrating and I thought I might need glue. There are also a couple of roof pieces attached to hinges, just barely, and this is also very fragile. All in all a difficult build
This set has a lot going for it. The build is highly detailed, yet pleasing. You never feel like you're just putting pieces together, there is always a little story developing throuhgout. The minifigs were great, and each floor had a great theme and story to it. I really felt like this set was a bargain by the time I was done with it. This is a must have for a lego enthusiast.
I enjoyed building the Tudor Corner. The detail on the inside is just as intricate as the outside of the building. It was fun to see each floor taking shape and put it together.
I’ve collected all the modular sets (including Market Street). My favorites include the Green Grocer and the Detective Office. In my opinion Tudor Corner gets the chef’s kiss. The sturdiness of the build, the off-parallel front (as an archaeological detail), the ingenious clock shop, English color palette, and compact footprint were much appreciated. But I was delighted with the cleverness that yielded the half-timbering. A number of the pieces in this set were new to me: the 2/3 brick, the five-stud plate, and the cutout decorative tile. All seemed smart additions to the Lego inventory, not just for this set. Kudos to the design and engineering teams.
I have been a Lego lover, forever! I every building from the beginning. I build them with my Aunt who has dementia, I have her find the pieces we need for each page. It really keeps her attention and is good for her mentally.
