this kit was easy to assemble and done in 3 days. a little easier to make compared to the Mercedes f1 race car. most of the parts was in box but was missing just a few parts. lucky I was able to salvage some extra parts from Mercedes f1 in the box and complete ferrari f1 car. other then this, kit is very detailed and parts fit really good. car is very nice.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thank you Lego for allowing me to show my true Ferrari fanboy. This was an amazing set to build and show off. Still looking for printed parts but nothing like some care and a pair of tweezers could help. Wish we were given some of the freebies after I bought this set during the pre-sale campaign. There was one missing part but contacted LEGO and will be sending it out.

Big letdown

This is my fourth large-scale F1 build (McLaren, Mercedes, Red Bull (from a different company)) and is by far the least desirable of the four. While the building itself was enjoyable, the end result wasn't very nice.
For example, with both the Mercedes and the McLaren builds, LEGO made a good effort not to leave too many exposed holes and connector bumps exposed. With this Ferrari, they didn't put in the same effort. The rear wing barely has any coverings.
Additionally, once finished, the suspension springs are so tight that the car sits up off of the ground like a truck. The sidepod structures are also pretty weak, structurally speaking.
If I could return it, I would.

Overall a great purchase. Some of the pictures could have used a bit more detail on the instructions, but nothing I couldn’t figure out by some problem solving.
A tremendous amount of detail was included on this and I love it!
