This is the second 1/8 scale F1 car I have built. I already have the Mercedes AMG car. This was a solid build that took about 10 hours total. I like the engine and transmission design on this one. The printed tires were a nice touch.
As always, I'm not a huge fan of the stickers. I like the pre-printed pieces they developed for the McLaren P1. That is a minor complaint, though.
This one is now with the rest of the collection in my office.
Excellent kit. No missing parts. First class product with great technical design.

I'm a big fan of Formula 1, and i love the idea of Lego on having all of them. I have every single F1 car from Lego. the Ferrari is a beatifull car only thing missing is the rearview mirrors on the side. The other 3 big car has them but the ferrari. even the speed of champions has the mirrors on the one they look like a little spoons. I can't understand why they missed that.

I had a lot of fun building this car. While not as complex as the supercars, it was equally entertaining. I got this as a stopgap to the next supercar (hopefully next year), but I am sold on these F1 cars. I did have a missing part, but was able to replace it from my leftovers from prior builds!

Instructions are lacking.

I have built several of the 1/8th technic. Bugatti, SP3, and more. Any time gears or technic pieces are supposed to be aligned or in alignment between and during critical steps they have always said when. Somehow the steering wheel and the whole steering setup can be off by one tooth or so and there is no way to fully fix without almost complete disassembly of the 1st and 2nd bags. I have read online and I am not the first to have this issue. I have always paid close attention to instructions but they never state anything is supposed to look a certain way until you unite the two units almost!! That is crazy and a huge misstep they clearly did not test these instructions. Do not buy the redbull either, same designer..

Design concerns regarding steering alignment

I just finished building the Ferrari SF-24 LEGO Technic set. While it looks great, I was disappointed by a few aspects of the design.
The steering wheel is not centered, which is very frustrating. While the front wheels are aligned straight, the steering wheel itself is turned, giving the impression that the model is misbuilt even when it isn’t.
As a long-time and loyal LEGO fan who has built more than a hundred sets over the years, I expect better from a company that prides itself on attention to detail and symmetry. In this case, the design falls short of that standard.
I also do not understand the purpose of the rear gear shaft. It can be pushed forward and backward, but it appears to do the same thing in both positions, and no explanation is provided in the instructions. Why is this feature there?
This set looks beautiful and will be displayed proudly in my home, but these issues detract from the overall experience. I know LEGO can — and usually does — do better.
