It's About Time!

It only took 12 years, but we finally have a Fantastic Four Lego set, and while the build is incredible, the minifigures are kind of lacking in some areas. First, Galactus is easily the best construction figure Lego has ever made, mostly because he makes sense, and while it would have been nice for him to have the same anatomy as a minifigure, you can kind of excuse it because he is not human. Now we get to the minifigures, for the most part they aren't bad, even the reused heads for Sue and Johnny work for those characters. But the lack of boots for the team is perplexing, especially when Reed's leg extensions have boots while the rest of the team doesn't. But that's not the worst thing in this set (no pun intended). What were you thinking when it came to Ben?! I get the Thing is as tall as the Hulk, but a bigfig or something in between would have represented his bulk better than a regular minifigure ever could. That's the most disappointing aspect of the set for me, you made the most iconic member of the Fantastic Four look terrible. And while that seems minuscule in the grand scheme of things, it bogs down what is otherwise a really good set. I hope in the near future we get more Fantastic Four sets (preferably comic based ones), hopefully with an improved, bulkier Thing.

So stoked to get Galactus and a full fantastic four. Really great marvel set here. Galactus is one of the better built marvel figures (compared to Ant-man and Arishem) but I wish he was bigger. Honestly, I'd prefer him in the super size minifigure style. Hopefully in the future we get that. Thing should be a big fig, Johnny should be fully "flamed on", and Mr. F should have some stretch parts (one piece gets them and no love for Reed). I can forgive all the minifigure critiques. The movie is around the corner and I expect more FF variants. Invisible sue, Herbie, plus the rest with a fantasticar maybe. Marvel fans are salivating over a modular Baxter Building, myself included. Patience should give us more and I hate to even criticize this set bc it's so awesome. Highly recommend.

I've never been a fan of building Lego figures, however, this came out much better than I expected. I actually bought this for the mini-figures, however, I really like the Galactus figure. I is easy to build, looks much better than the photos and is really very sturdy. It stands up quite well which makes it easy to display. I couldn't be happier.

This was great.. I collect all of the marvel scale characters.. I was waiting to see what they'd do for FF.. and I love it.. I wanted it to be a little bigger, thicker. Maybe we need a big Thing with muscles
