Not the “true” 800 Series cleaning experience
I purchased the Bosch 800 Series expecting top-tier cleaning performance based on the series reputation and prior 800 models. While this dishwasher is very quiet and drying performance with CrystalDry is excellent, the actual cleaning system is disappointing for the price.
This newer DM revision uses Bosch’s standard PrecisionWash system, which is essentially the same core wash mechanics found in lower 300 and basic 500 series models. Older 800 models (CM variants) had PowerControl with targeted spray, which is no longer included. That change is not clearly communicated at purchase.
For households that cook oily or heavy foods, the lack of any targeted or boosted wash zone is noticeable. Some 500-series models even offer Zone Wash, which makes the current 800 feel poorly positioned.
The controls and display also feel simplified for a premium product — no real time display, just a basic InfoLight and app reliance.
Overall:
• Excellent drying and quietness
• Reliable, but not premium cleaning performance
• Feels overpriced for what is effectively a standard wash system

Great But Could Be Better

Quality is so much better than others we've had, but some minor irritances that shouldn't be there for the price that lessor models have. Holding back a star. We use delay start often. Why not have a button for that instead of forcing us to use the app? How on earth does a top end model not have a complete indicator. If you live by yourself or just a spouse, sure it's probably is no big deal, but for families you never know if it is clean or dirty and we're always bugging the kids not to leave their plates in the sink. PLEASE DO A FIRMWARE UPDATE TO AT LEAST MAKE THE LED BLINK DURING USE AND STAY STEADY WHEN COMPLETE OR VISE VERSA UNTIL THE DOOR IS OPENED. I wouldn't think it would be that difficult.

Best Dish Washer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is our second Bosch dishwasher. The first one lasted 15 years and we thought it was the greatest. But this new model is even quieter and cleans better than the old one. We're hoping this one will last another 15 years.

800 series dishwasher

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I do like the dishwasher. Does a very good job. I don't like that you have to use the app to do a timed delay start. I don't want my kids to have every app on there phone but I do want them to be able to use the appliances in our home.

The quality continues - an excellent dishwasher!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This 800 series replaced a contractor's unit that was in our house at purchase. That unit cleaned well but was so noisy it could only be run during bedtime hours. In contrast, the Bosch 800 series cleans equally well, but almost soundlessly and without melting plastic objects. That means we do much less handwashing of such items. Overall quality has been well maintained and we are very pleased with this unit,

Louder and lower rack less usable

I had an 800 series from 12 years ago, replaced it with this one. The additional 2dBA make a ton of difference. Also, I can fit less plates and pans in the lower rack using this new design compared to the old one.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
