Great power in a small package!

I was lucky enough to be able to pickup my new Ecoflow Delta 2 on Black Friday, the deal was so good and with these specs it knocks any thing comparable to the delta 2 out of the park. I regularly go off roading and camping, before this I have a GoalZero Yeti 500x (which is only $150 less for a much less capable unit) after getting my dometic fridge and now a diesel heater this winter I found myself needing a bigger unit. The specs speak for themselves and in a package the size of a small desktop computer I couldn’t be happier with the Delta 2. I also work in construction and we don’t always have readily available electricity to warm up our food… just for fun one day I brought it in and it powered our microwave with no issues!! I was pumped! I highly recommend the Delta 2!

Almost The Perfect Overlanding/Small Camping Unit!

For the price point, this is a very good mid-sized power station. Love the fast charging and battery expandability. It's my daily workhorse for around the house, but I wouldn't take it overlanding/small teardrop RV camping. I just hope EcoFlow one day develops an "upper" mid-sized unit, geared towards the increasing number of small RV owners. The Delta Pro and Delta Pro 3 are great for 5th wheels, but they are too much to haul around for 13'-18' sized RV's (equipped with AC's and electric heaters). I can rough it, but my wife needs her creature comforts!
For my needs, I'm forced to haul around a Delta Pro with an extra smart battery, which is a bit too much for overlanding/small camping (teardrop RV). The ideal Delta 3 "Ultra" would include the following:
-2kWh of battery capacity
-A TT30 port for direct RV connection
-An ultra-efficient AC inverter (the Delta 3 Plus goes dead in 24 hours when the AC circuit is turned on with nothing plugged into it - very poor AC parasitic drain)
-Either a third 500 watt solar input port, or a single solar input which can handle at least 150 Volts (1200 watts maximum solar charging at the minimum)
-7kW+ total battery expandability with at least two battery ports (for Alternator Charger use)
Again, I really like the Delta 3 Plus, and it has its place in my EcoFlow power station arsenal. It's just not ideal for my primary needs. If a Delta 3 "Ultra" were ever released, just tell me where to send you my money!
Thanks EcoFlow for making great products!

I just bought the delta 3 plus, but can't find the extra battery for it on this website. I saw the youtube review but never see it on sale. Does it exist?

Just in time for Hurricane Ian

Received my Delta 2 a couple days ago as Hurricane Ian took aim at Florida. The manual was clear and easy to follow. When I turned it on, it showed 27% charged. From the wall outlet, it charged fully in less than 40 minutes. This morning, no power thanks to Ian, so I put Delta 2 to the test. First a couple of LED lights and a fan, then the most important thing to start my day .... my Keurig coffee machine. It brewed two large cups of coffee effortlessly, peaking at about 1376 watts. Yes the fan was audible for a few minutes but not nearly as intolerable as a generator. Then for the heck of it, I plugged in a 10,000 BTU 16 EER air conditioner and Delta 2 did not skip a beat to get it running. I ran the AC for about 10 minutes just to cool a bit and lower the humidity. I also ran the refrigerator a couple of times until the compressor went off. In the mean time I connected the solar panel. There wasn't much sunshine but I still got about 120-130 watts. at the end of the day, my Delta 2 sat at 89% SOC, enough to get me through the night. This little beast performed flawlessly and was so simple and intuitive to use. I will definitely be getting an additional battery and solar panel. This will be a great creature comfort to go camping or picnicking.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Just received my EcoFlow DELTA 2. Only used a few times so far. I like everything, everything is as indicated in the description. Can definitely recommend! Very convenient device! I am glad that it really meets all the declared characteristics. And also - it is not heard at all! Works very, very quietly.

Awesome portable power station and app

Recently purchased the Delta 2 and extra battery. Was interested in the newer battery type: LFP
I have a had a pretty decent experience with using this, especially after coming from GoalZero Yeti 1000, where it was slow in recharging, pretty heavy, and no app.
One of the selling points of the Ecoflow products was the ability to fast charge via AC or solar. Via AC plug it took roughly 4-5hours to charge up both the Delta 2 and extra battery from 0% to 100% at 4-500W. Recharging from solar was also relatively easy and went from 85% to 100% in a couple of hours with a 120W panel on a sunny day. Overall, very impressed with the product as a whole. The app is also useful in looking at the battery stats and turning on/off certain ports (AC/USB/12V DC/etc) and looking at remaining time or recharge times.

I did experience an issue where I left it charged to 100% and over the course of a week, it kept dropping 1-2%, but reading through the owners FB page helped in guiding me to perform a BMS reset (discharge to 0% and slow charge back up). After doing this, I no longer see any drops.
My only wish is that it would have been great to have the extra battery function on its own. Other than that, I have an upcoming camping trip, so we’ll see how it fares.

I’ve only had the Delta 2 for almost a week now, but I’ve tested it out for days with discharge and charge without issue. Fast charged and battery-friendly rate charge were both pretty quick. Total adjustability is a great feature. App is working good with no issues between the app and product.

Great Refrigerator Saver or Home Office Backup!
on September 29, 2022

I bought the Delta 2 primarily as a backup power source for my refrigerator during any short power outages this winter. I can also use it as a backup power supply for my home office or a small freezer if needed.
As a test, I hooked up a laptop with additional 21" and 32" monitors while working today. I also periodically ran a 15-watt lamp, a second desktop computer, and charged some devices. The Delta 2 provided exactly 10 hours of power. According to the Kill-A-Watt P3 power meter it was approximately 780 watt hours out of the listed 1024 for an overall efficiency of 76.2%. To be honest I was hoping for more, but I do plan on picking up the extra battery. However, the basic amount should be enough to get the refrigerator and maybe a small chest freezer through the night during a short power outage.
For solar charging I picked up two 160-watt EcoFlow panels. I set the two panels up on my back porch and tracked the sun from mid-morning to mid-afternoon. The two panels generated a maximum of 250 watts of input with clear skies but noticeable wildfire smoke. I was able to bring the battery up from 30% to 80% before the trees blocked out the sun. Solar panel efficiency dropped off quickly with any shading.
I experimented with parallel and series wiring as shown in the manual. I found I got a little more wattage out of the series method. When I looked at the specs I think that was because in parallel I was exceeding the 15 watt maximum input and it was throttled down by the control system. Adding a third panel would max out the system on volts and watts, and it might be worth considering for winter charging with fewer hours of less intense sunlight. These three panels could only be hooked up in series.
AC charging was fast! I actually tempered the charging to 800 watts maximum instead of the standard 1200 watts to reduce the amperage, but even with input reduced by one third a full charge from 0% to 100% took less than 2 hours. The fan runs the entire time the unit is charging. It is noticeable but not loud.
Overall I feel this is a great item to have on standby for short power outages. It can power small appliances and a computer for a significant amount of time when needed. Set up is fast and easy. The 160-watt solar panels are fairly lightweight and appear to be more durable than glass panels. The manual should do a better job of explaining the differences between parallel and series options (that might be a good feature for the app). The Delta 2 is manageable in size and weight and would even fit in an RV for mobile power needs.
I would recommend this to a friend!
