I bought this and it lasted 1 month. I removed it to descale my machine and when I replaced it, I kept getting an add water error even though it was full. Not worth the money.

Thank you for reaching out. We would like to provide some guidance. When it is past time to replace the filter, you'll notice that your ice maker is no longer making ice. You may also notice the ADD WATER notification, even though you have water in the reservoir. If either of these things occurs, replace the scale inhibiting filter with a new Opal Replacement Water Filter (P4INKFILTR) or the Opal Scale Inhibiting Filter. If you have a new filter and this happens it may be a faulty filter and we recommend reaching to your retailer for an exchange or refund.
If your Opal Ice Maker is not working properly and these tips did not resolve the issue, you can contact Opal Ice Maker Support, or call 1-866-907-6718, M-F 8-8 EST, for further assistance.

These filters should last longer, I'm replacing them within 30 days, I wouldn't have bought the ice maker if I had to replace filters so soon.

The filter was just fine. We unfortunately bought the filter then our 4 month old machine quit working. Thankfully we were able to get a replacement in 2 days!
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The GE Profile water filter for the Opal Nugget Ice Maker is an excellent quality product that is easy to install and use. Without it the ice may have a heavy chlorinated taste and can affect the flavor of iced coffee, tea, soft drinks or whatever you drink. This filter should eliminate microscopic particles and the chlorine taste .
It’s easy to install , just Follow the supplied instructions

💓🥰Clean and Healthy Water🥰💓

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow, I’ve been using the GE scale inhibiting filter it is AMAZING and the difference is spot on! ❣️🥰 We live in an area with really hard water sometimes and I was constantly dealing with limescale on our faucets, shower heads, and especially in the dishwasher and washing machine. Since installing this filter in my 2.0 Ice Cube Maker- the white buildup has almost completely stopped. 😁
Installation was pretty straightforward—took me less than 3 minutes. The water pressure stayed consistent, and I haven’t noticed any odd taste or smell in the water. What I have noticed is it's ABSOLUTELY amazing ❣️🥰
It’s a small investment that’s saving me a ton with Clean Ice ❣️❣️Highly recommend if you want clean water or ice 🧊🥰

I have a little daughter and a infant at home and therefore I really needed this water filter in order to provide my children with clean water. It worked amazing for me especially because I live in a city where it's hard to get access to clean water. I suggest you get this filter if you want to stay healthy and not consume dirty water.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] GE Profile Opal is the leader in chewable nugget ice machines. In order to maintain the delicious chewable ice, the machine alerts you when to change the filter. This is the filter made specifically for the GE Profile Opal.
It cleans & filters all water, both in the primary water tank, and also in the side auxiliary tank. I love the peace of mind, knowing the flavor will always be consistently restored to new, just by snapping in this OEM filter. Highly recommended!
