Potentially great drive but kept disconnecting

8TB version specifically. Potentially this could be a really great drive for me, but unfortunately it kept disconnecting from my Mac Studio Ultra so I've just returned it to SanDisk. I already own three of the 4TB versions of this disk and over the last couple of years they've proved themselves to be really great disk drives, I keep them permanently attached to my Macs and use them as my main storage drives, so I was really disappointed that the new 8TB version didn't work out for me. I will happily purchase the drive again if and when SanDisk can resolve the disconnecting issue.

Own ten SanDisk Portable SSD. Need docking station

I have purchased nine 4TB and one 8TB. They are working well. I did however purchase three 8TB Crucial units since they are small and easy to store.next to a computer. I am looking forward to a 16TB SanDisk Extreme portable. Would be nice if there were docking stations for them.

I love this 8TB SSD because it allows me to keep all my media and files organized in one place. I once had another brand of 8TB drive, but I accidentally dropped it and lost all my media. Fortunately, I had backed everything up on two 4TB drives from SanDisk. Since I haven't had any issues with SanDisk, I take this SSD with me everywhere.

Best external storage for travel!

For travel, this is the **best external storage**! I recently copied files from multiple 4TB hard drives to my ultra-small 8TB **SanDisk** drives. I bought three and consolidated select files from seven of my old drives. This saved a ton of space in my luggage! I love how **lightweight** they are and how easily they work with my Mac Air. I'll never buy another type of external hard drive again; I'm forever loyal to SanDisk.
