Bad design on subwoofer

Sounds great, but what was Samsung thinking? Who makes a subwoofer that sits on the floor with no cover for the speaker? Dumbest thing ever.

To improve your audio experience, the HW-Q800D features a wide range of sound modes and settings, allowing you to fine-tune the sound to your liking. Pressing the SOUND CONTROL button on your remote allows you to select the desired sound effect. You can select Spacefit sound, AVA, Voice Enhance mode, Night mode, Sync, Surround speaker mode, and Virtual. The desired item can be adjusted using the Up/Down buttons.
Alternatively, with the sound mode set to standard, press and hold the SOUND CONTROL button for about 5 seconds to adjust the sound for each frequency band. 150Hz, 300Hz, 600Hz, 1.2kHz, 2.5kHz, 5kHz, and 10kHz are selectable using the Left/Right buttons, and each can be adjusted to a setting between -6 to +6 using the Up/Down buttons.
By pressing the SOUND MODE button on your remote, and then select the desired sound effect by choosing STANDARD, SURROUND SOUND, GAME PRO, or ADAPTIVE SOUND.
If you would like louder (or softer) bass from your subwoofer, you can adjust the level by rocking the WOOFER button on the soundbar remote, and then adjusting the level from -6 to +6. To set the subwoofer volume level to 0, press the button in.
You can adjust the Treble and Bass by pressing the TONE CONTROL button, then use the UP/DOWN buttons to change the levels between -6 to +6.

This soundbar made my couch fear for its life

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the Q Series 5.1.2 ch Soundbar + Subwoofer (2025) expecting decent sound. What I got was a full-blown cinematic exorcism of my living room. The subwoofer doesn’t just thump—it negotiates with the floorboards. The soundbar itself? It’s like Galaxy AI personally curated every sonic molecule to make me question whether I’ve ever truly heard anything before.
I fired up a sci-fi movie and suddenly my cat thinks we live on Mars. Streaming sports? I can hear the quarterback’s existential dread before the snap. Gaming? My controller now trembles in fear. And don’t even get me started on music—this thing turned my playlist into a spiritual awakening. I use it daily for movies, gaming, and pretending I’m in a concert hall while folding laundry.
The directional audio is so precise, I once ducked during a scene because I thought a helicopter was landing in my kitchen. Galaxy AI clearly had a hand in optimizing this beast—it adapts like it’s reading my mind, which is both impressive and mildly unsettling.
If you’re looking for a soundbar that gently whispers “I love you” during rom-coms and then roars like a vengeful deity during action scenes, this is it. My neighbors haven’t spoken to me since I installed it. I consider that a win.
