It hurts, powder helps

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First off this thing hurts!!! But it gets the job done! Batter life is okay! It’s a little noise ! It’s precise and versatile. And easy to clean. I had to shave then follow up with the epilator so the pain could be tolerable.

> Make sure to stretch and tighten the skin.
> Hold epilator at a 90 degree angle to skin.
> Use a massage attachment, if available.
> Make sure the attachment is clicked on correctly – the two triangle symbols on device and attachment must be on top of each other.
> Try not to apply too much pressure when epilating.
> Epilate either on completely dry or on wet skin (so that there's little friction between the skin and the epilator). Slightly damp skin could cause more friction when epilating, which could then lead to skin pinching.

Definitely worth the purchase

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This epilator is excellent. It gives me silky smooth skin every time. It is worth every penny and I would definitely recommend it. The battery life is also great. It is easy to carry and does not make a lot of noise. It is also almost painless.

I gave it 4 stars because epilators are more painful than razors but it gives you a closer shave and pulls hair from root so the skin is more smooth so it’s worth it long term!

Beautiful device but this process is not for everyone

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This tool has a fair shot. I’ve never used an epilator and have only used a razor to get rid of body hair. I’ve thoroughly researched epilating, the process and the technique. The most alluring part was using this once a month would mean I didn’t have to worry about shaving ever again! I got to know all of the features and began to use it on my legs. I followed the instructions and couldn’t withstand the pain. I tried several times and it was painful enough for me to vow to never use it again. It’s an extremely painful process. For the people who have used an epilator, I would start with something less expensive just to get an idea of the pain level. However, most people have said epilating gets easier in terms of pain after each use. For me, it was unbearable. This particular device is probably the one of the best I’d imagine would be on the market. If it was unbearable for me then I can’t recommend the process but that doesn’t do this actual product justice. I’d recommend it for those who have tried this process already. This device is on the higher-end technology wise so pick it up if you have extra money to spend or if you simply want to invest in a good quality device.

In case this helps, here are some tips:
As the epilator removes hair from the follicle, there is bound to be some discomfort. If it’s been a while since you’ve epilated, shave your longer hairs first. After 1 or 2 weeks, the re-growth of short hairs will be much easier to epilate.
Have a bath or shower before epilating. This makes the hair easier to remove. As the Braun Silk-epil 9 Flex is a Wet & Dry model, we recommend epilating while bathing.
Warm water relaxes and soothes the skin. The warmth improves your circulation, stimulates pain-reducing substances and makes your skin less sensitive. So the tugging sensation is considerably reduced in water.
For best results, start epilating after relaxing in warm water for about 5 minutes. Hold your leg and the epilator under the water. Your hairs will then lift up, making them especially easy to grip.
Epilate slowly. It should take approximately 15 minutes to do each leg.
Try not to press the tweezers to the skin.
If this doesn't help, then we recommend discontinuing use.

Great razor!

It is a great epilator it does a great job leaving my skin feel nice and smooth. It also has a great batter life. Additionally it’s not super loud.

Amazing for you use on the go

It's a good quick touch up if you need to like shave something on the go really quickly. The cleaning is amazing. I can take it apart, clean up everything. The automatic pluck attachment that I personally won't lose too often. But it's amazing for people that do.

Interesting shaving experience!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product feels so smooth on the skin, I cannot wait for more use. Battery life seems to be ok, will have to see how long it lasts. It's quite and does a good job. I am not sure how well it will stay clean, too many spots for hair to get stuck. It had two attachments for delicate area use and normal leg shaving
