I backed this product in Kickstarter.
The quality is great, and most important thing for me is that the design is very unique and cool. There is no similar product in the market so I am really satisfied with it.

I was looking for a cool backpack for outdoor use. This backpack is well thought out in terms of functionality and also looks cool. Personally, I really like the material.

This bag has been perfect for my travels taking a laptop, camera and backpacking gear and has fit in overhead compartment of air china and Ryanair. Only forthcoming is there is no way to fasten rolled up top sides which I wouldn’t have expected from peak design. And the bottle holders are amazing for anything!

PURE MAGIC!!!

The 45L outdoor backpack has now become my go-to everyday carry bag. It's spacious but doesn't feel big (I'm 5'10). The straps are comfy, and comfy enough that I didn't need to keep the waist belt on -- removing the waist belt also lessens the bulk of the bag! All the cord loop system is great, I love love it ! I was even to rig the old PD key chain along with the anchor to create a key holder on the backpack strap! The new design for accessing the top of the bag is amazing, super easy to use and now that I've been using it for awhile, its become the best bag access method I've ever tried! And I got this bag along with the 2L outdoor sling and I now can finally attach the sling to the backpack straps which is just pure magic for me!!! If there's one improvement for the next iteration, I would recommend to move the inside pocket onto the outside, just in the kangaroo pouch area so that it's easier to access, but to do a work around for my set up, I transferred the key loop that comes with the bag onto the one of the loops by the kangaroo pouch and attached an old pencil pouch to it :) oh and and the mesh by the backpack straps at first I wouldn't use but now that's where I put my wallet on one and my earpods on the other! TBH BEST BAG EVER IT IS PURE MAGIC!!

I’m not sure how I would have survived without it

I’m just wrapping up a trip in Patagonia and I’m so thankful I bought this bag in the SF store the week before. I’m not a conditioned hiker but somehow I managed 20 miles with 30lbs on my back, including a brutal 1000 elevation gain in the last hour. This pack held me in the right way, balanced the load, and was soft on the contact points. Don’t get me wrong, I hurt, but I probably would not have finished the hike with a lesser bag and holy hell was the destination worth it.

I’m using mine as a work laptop bag, a bag for hiking & biking treks, and with a Smedium Camera bag as a full on camera bag with space for other stuff. Super protection and easy to use. I’d give it 5 stars but I think the price is high, especially since you’re going to need accessories for lots of use cases.

Plus: great color. Love the roll top magnetic closure and tough fabric on back and bottom.
Minus: wish they’d put that tough fabric at bottom of side pockets. I see a tripod blowout in the future. The dangling drawstring on the back is a little obnoxious. The clever folks at PD could have done better with that. It’s a little expensive.

The Ultimate Backpack for Photo Hikes
on December 16, 2024

I recently got this 45L backpack through the Kickstarter campaign, and I took it out for a weekend photo hike—wow, I’m blown away! This is hands-down the best camera bag I’ve used in all my years of (amateur) photo hiking. The carry cord system is an absolute game-changer—perfect for strapping on a tripod, sleeping bag, or water bottles, and it’s so easy to use. The bag is massively spacious, giving me room for all my digital and analog gear without feeling crammed. And let me tell you, the chest strap and hip belt are lifesavers! They made carrying my heavy equipment on longer walks feel effortless. I couldn’t be happier with this bag—truly a must-have for anyone who loves photography and the outdoors!
