There's nothing I can say about the lens that hasn't already been said: handy for a great number of situations and a must-have for most professionals. That you already know.
What you might NOT know is that this one is super sharp, has no chromatic aberration, and is sharp even on the R7, where you get a 112-320 f/4. So it's GREAT paired with the R7 (or any of the other APS-C bodies) for outdoor sports and some wildlife photography!
If you've got the money for it then this is the one to have.

Thoroughly impressed by the quality of the lens. Great pairing with the RF x1.4 extender as the quality still remains sharp. Worthwhile investment.

Great 8K RAW video, PZ-E2 zooming, light weight, sharp, silent, fast.

This lens is a sweet spot for mid‑range zoom work and absolutely shines for track‑and‑field video. For 8K RAW, it’s been perfect — the 24–105mm doesn’t reach enough, the 100–500mm overshoots, but this one lands right in the Goldilocks zone. It’s also much lighter than both, and still supports the RF 1.4x extender throughout the full zoom range. Stabilization is phenomenal. I can shoot handheld with smooth, controlled pans, and DaVinci Resolve’s stabilization takes it even further. Autofocus is fast and sticky, iris response is great, and the whole system runs silently. Add the PZ‑E2 and the power‑zoom experience becomes genuinely impressive for the 'Z' title. And here’s a big win: unlike the other two lenses restrictions, this one can record 8K RAW videos using only the LP‑E6P batteries — no external power bricks needed for handy shootings.
