Do not buy this machine.
Mine failed about a month after i got it. Just rebooted during a print and went to the language selection screen, produced an error and won't do anything. I've been waiting over a week to hear back from support, so when I got an automatic email asking for a review I was a little mad.
When it works, it sometimes produces really nice prints, sometimes makes garbage. Frequently, it decides you're actually printing in a different material and changes so that it's printing at a different speed and temperature from what the gcode says. The failure detection misses more failures than it detects, and also generates false positives constantly. The gear path likes to clog up if you try to push filament anywhere near the advertised rate. If you see an error and manually cancel the print, it often just keeps printing. On large prints with a failure on the first layer, I've hit 'stop' and it's tried to print the entire rest of the layer. The whole thing is pretty poorly planned and executed, feels rushed and incomplete.
I understand these folks had a good reputation with the ender series, and that support can be busy, but i've had nothing but a bad experience and will probably never buy anything from them again.

I got my printer, and in 8 days, I had 10 of 15 attempts print successfully - NONE of my attempts used unusual print settings. On day 8, while printing a gcode file that I had successfully used twice before, the printer raised the bed into the nozzle and destroyed the bed plate.
I have reached out to Creality support multiple times about this issue, and they have completely ghosted me each time.
Do not buy this printer. Yes, it's possible to have a positive experience with it, but it is not worth the risk.

Buyer beware. The unit worked great for the first few weeks. One day I turned it on and started having communication errors and very long boot times. I attempted to work with support to resolve this issue but after two weeks no progress has been made.

The printer worked perfectly for half a week out of the box. For the first 10 or so prints, everything was coming out perfectly, but after about half a week, the printer began failing the first layers at about a 50/50 success rate. then after about week 2, due to firmware and software issues with the Lan wi-fi access terminal for the printer, my k1 max crashed the bed into the printhead causing damage to it and the bed. Part way into week 3, I tried fixing this z-axis crashing issue with a firmware update from the official creality page which worked for about 2 days before my printer tried to kill itself after I attempted homing the z axis, crashing the bed one again into the print head. I tried fixing this by cleaning the lidar scanner with a microfiber cloth and some compressed air and doing a bed leveling self-test only for the bed to literally kill itself in the process, scrapping into the print head and causing irreparable damage to the print head, bed, heat bed, x and y axis gurney, and most significantly the z-axis motors which are now screeching like a dying puppy and grinding like a dodge ram 1500 transmission that just blew after its first 20k miles.
The prints are high quality and the printer is absolutely and impressively accurate and fast WHEN IT WORKS. Also the slicer software, which creality kind of soft locks you into using in order to use input shaping and other important features on the printer which you paid for, SUCKS. Almost none of the other main slicer programs properly support the k1 max with the important features it comes with.
If you want to get The k1 max consider just spending the extra 1k and getting the Prusa XL, at least their support team responds to you when you try to contact them and they have a WORKING PHONE NUMBER.

BUYER BEWARE OF WARRANTY AND DESIGN FLAW. The mounting bolts for the ceramic heating block will back themselves out over time due to vibrations and cause the machine to fail. The engineers should have thought of way for these 2 bolts to be mounts from overhead instead of underneath. Overall, this is an amazing 3D printer. It's fast, has plenty of options for your prints, and is relatively easy to work on. My advice would be to use high-heat thread-locker on the 2 bolts as soon as you receive your machine to you don't suffer the same fate as I did. My build plate is ruined and I have plenty of cosmetic damage to the machine. My complaint is that certain items only have a 3 month warranty so now I'm out-of-pocket for replacement parts.

Junk.
Every time it goes through its self check it gets part way through and it crashes, powers off and starts again.
Should have bought a Prusa like all the websites recommend.

Absolutely terrible product! DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY! Came broken with No bed adhesion. Prints fall off the bed, even with PLA. Creality support took about a month to resolve it, and emails made little sense. I wanted this to be my first good printer coming from the ender 3, but no. . . Somebody needs to get this fixed.

This printer is fantastic. I unboxed it and went through the setup which was super easy to follow and get started. I immediately jumped into printing with the provided PLA and talk about easy. The Creality slicer program was easy to use and the print quality has been great. I am loving the speed at which the K1C prints. I can’t wait to try some different types of filaments other than PLA+. The camera feature is great. I started a long print before work and was able to keep an eye on it the whole time.
