Unable to Connect to Hydroshot

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These will not connect to the hydroshot! They are worthless if I can’t get them connected. Yes I read the directions and tried numerous times to connect them but they failed. Not happy at all

good tools with one exception

As I said in my review of the Hydro-Shot that I purchased along with this cleaning kit, there is a flaw ( in my opinion ) in the design of one particular item in the kit, the pivoting quick-connect adapter. As I said in the other review I bought these items primarily to help clean the bottom of my small boat as it sits on the trailer after a day of fishing.This requires that I put the pivoting adapter on the wand and then put the 5-1 sprayer head on the adapter. On the nipple of the 5-1 unit there is a protrusion ( I'll call it a "key") that fits into a slot in both the wand and the adapter. This prevents turning of the 5-1 head. Unfortunately there is no key on the nipple of the adapter so when I put the spray head on the adapter and mount it all to the wand and pivot the adapter to spray "up" the whole part falls to the right or left on it's own as the weight of the spray head overcomes any friction that may be in the connection ! So my idea of a "flaw" is that the nipple on the pivoting quick-connect adapter should have the protrusion that I have called a "key" on it just like the key on the 5-1 spray head. I had serious thoughts of returning ALL the hardware, but except for the "flaw" it is a great tool. To do what I needed to do with the Hydro-Shot I coated the nipple with a coat of high strength, slow cure epoxy that I use to coat the windings on the fishing rods that I have built. That little bit of increase in the nipple's dia. is enough to make it usable. This is not a great solution, and I am sure that I will have to renew that coating as time goes on. I am also sure that now that I have told of my modification I probably have voided any warranty on both the pivoting adapter and the wand but it was either do what I did or return everything to you.
