Great Aesthetics with Fatal Flaw Poor Design...

I received this wallet as part of my kickstarter backer package. The quality, design, look, and feel are the typical high standard we've come to expect from Peak Design. It looks and feels amazing and for the most part works very well holding cards. HOWEVER...the magnet retention is ok at best. How do I know? I've already lost the wallet. The wallet slipped off the case effortlessly and I had no idea (with my debit card in it nonetheless). Since the wallet is held on with magnets there is no sound, clicking, security mechanism, etc. to be defeated. The wallet can be put on or taken off with not so much as a sound. To have a wallet which is holding VITALLY IMPORTANT INFORMATION i.e. Driver's license, credit cards, insurance, etc. should be SECURED WAY MORE than just with magnets. The phone case has that little divot space built into. Why would you not use that to your advantage to 'lock' into on top of the connection you get from magnets?!?! You created the bike mounts with the ability to LOCK into the case for 100% security. Why would you not consider this for a WALLET? The wallet was great in terms of aesthetics but not in design. I will not be buying a replacement...losing my cards was once enough for me.

This should have used the mobile mount

The wallet stand is cool, but it would have been cooler if it used the mobile mount system. As it is the mag safe mount, while handy, doesn’t provide enough grip and comes off too easily. Guaranteed some people will lose their wallet when taking it out. Next release add the mount, or just offer a new product version with the mobile mount system.

Almost there, but not quite

I love the concept of this. The case stand works well as both a pop socket and a stand. I love that it is a slim wallet. But, the magnet is not strong enough. The wallet flies off more often than I'd like, which is very frustrating and worrying. I would want the magnet the magnet to be stronger to fix this. Additionally, the wallet function is just not great. Pushing the cards back down dislodges the wallet and just feels like poor design. And since all the cards are back-to-back instead of staggered, getting a card out is not seamless. For the amount of the stand, I want it to have been better

Not quite as nice as I'd hoped

This wallet is good quality, but there are a few things that leave it feeling lacking.
Pros: - Matches the case exactly. - Stand is convenient. - Tab to lift the cards out works well. Cons: - Serious missed opportunity to use the Slimlink connector to make the wallet even more secure. - Inserting cards is a bit fiddly because you have to hold the bottom of the wallet to avoid pulling it off the magnets. (This would be fixed by using Slimlink.) - The stand mechanism is a bit over-engineered: the hinge is too stiff (I have to pry the halves of the wallet apart to open it), and the metal plates the hinge attaches to are thick and heavy, which increases the weight and size of the wallet. - A bit pricey.
Overall, I'd really only pick this wallet again if I really wanted it to match the style and fabric of the Peak Design case.

Decent, but not up to my expectations

Let me come right out and say I'm a Peak Design junkie. I have 6 bags, all clips, slings, loops, a tripod and I forget sometimes how much gear I have. I love the attention to detail, the smart features, the durability and for the most part also the design.
When Mobile was introduced, I was very excited! And now the gear is finally starting to tricke in, first up was the case with loop, the motorcycle holder and this wallet. And I'm torn. Coming from an Apple MagSafe wallet which has it's own unique challenges, I thought this product would remedy them all, but not so much. Overall, it does what it says. It stores your cards, and it attaches magnetically to the case, and it can double as a stand.
However, I'm lacking the polish and attention to details I'm used to with PD stuff. Perhaps it's the limited space they're able to work with here that puts severe limitations on it. Anyway, here goes:
The magnetic latching isn't very comfortable. The magnets are strong enough, but coming from MagSafe, I've gotten used to the snap on alignment. This doesn't align much if any at all. Perhaps that's a result of the added friction of the texture of both the wallet and the case. But it's very seldomly aligned very well, which becomes evident as soon as you want to extend the stand. And extending the case is finnicky. I got no lenght of nails that makes this easy or comfortable, it's simply tricky to fold out. And once you fold it in, it doesn't feel like it's folding all the way up. Probably related to the strong (and impressive) hinge, but you cant fold it any further than to close, but it will flex back a little bit.
The way to get your cards out is a pleasant surprise when you come from Apples MagSafe Wallet. However, there's so much fabric around this section, that i feels a little lose. Sure, I could stuff another 4 cards in there I guess, to get it to not feel "loose", but that's not an ideal solution. I believe something elastic here would've been a better choice.
And finally, pushing the cards back into the wallet is a little bit of an awkward move, you need to kind of push up against it from the miniscule bottom part of the wallet to get leverage. PD even includes an instruction for you how to do it, since it's not very obvious. And while all this is going on, you're much more likely than not to accidentally squeeze the flap that goes over the cards, on the inside of the cards, and unless you got small fingers or long nails, you now need to find a pen or something long and thin to fish it out, since you can't pull your cards out, since you need the now hidden tab to do.
I appreciate the effort of this product, and I don't want to disuade the ambition, I just sincerely hope that this product will be revised. How about using that square hole at the back for some snap on/alignment action?

Great wallet with Arc Pro Case for Phone Feel

This wallet is always on my iPhone 13 Pro Max because it always gives me a stand and allows me to keep it in front of me and open notifications with a look. Also, it pairs very well with the Arc Pro iPhone case, which allows the PD Wallet to sit on the naked iPhone metal surface while the phone and its cameras are fully protected. The best combination if you like the feel of the naked iPhone like I do.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Deactivates Magnetic Hotel Room Key Cards
on September 14, 2022

Initially quite happy with wallet. Slim, with secure magnetic hold to phone case. Then stayed in two different hotels. Both times Room Key Cards would not work after being placed in the Mobile Wallet. Had to get new keys every time to re-enter the room. Started keeping key card in shirt pocket and problem solved.

Sorry for the frustration here! We do speak to this in the help article on our website:
Will The Magnets In PD Cases/Mounts Hurt Or Interfere With My Phone?
With credit cards you should be fine. With hotel room keys, results are much more mixed. We've observed that hotels with newer key systems are less likely to be demagnetized than hotels with older systems, but those results are mostly anecdotal. In any case, we recommend not keeping your hotel key in the same pocket as your phone to save yourself the risk of a 2am front desk trip.
The magnetic strip in hotel room keys is designed to be written and rewritten over and over again, and hence it's much more easily demagnetized than a credit card.

Awesome (but some drawbacks)

Great quality product. I use it with 5 cards (2 with relief) and some banknotes. Very slim, even with the stand. The stand works great, strong magnet and it makes using the phone on a table so much easier.
I definitely can recommend the Stand Wallet and would buy it again, but there are some drawbacks, that you should know if you are not sure if it's for you: - The cards do not (never!) come out as a fan (as shown in the PD ads), see other reviews on YT with the same result - The magnets are strong and work. However they tend to delete hotel keys if you get to close. I tested it various times. You can work around it if you are really careful and place the key away from the magnets. For me, both the drawbacks are minor, but be aware.
