Over price product

Another over price product from Peak Design. The arm is too short and hard to exchange or replace to another arm. I want to reuse the magnetic but impossible.

I have had a lot of different car mounts and they all fall down. I wasn’t sure about this product but it came highly recommended so I thought I would give it a try. Love it. Went ahead and bought 3 more to give to family. Don’t hesitate if you are looking for minimal, secure and can charge.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great mount/charger, but adhesive fails in heat

I got a new pixel 9 in December and decided to go all out and deck it out with a PD case and chargers. Love the case, the wallet, and these chargers looked very well made. First the good parts:
Mostly made of metal, they seem well made and sturdy.
The charging worked well and was fast.
The magnets were definitely strong enough. I drive on several very bumpy roads and never had the phone fall off the mount.
Now the bad part:
The adhesive sticking the mount to the dashboard is failing after only about 6 months. Mine were mounted where the adhesive was vertical, rather than horizontal on the top of the dashboard. However, I did take the time to find a flat spot on the front of the dash, wipe the area down with an alcohol wipe, press the mount down the first time for several minutes and wait a day before using it for the phone. Because of this, although it is a well designed mount and a great charger, I cannot recommend this mount for areas where it gets particularly hot in the summer or where the mounting point would be in direct sunlight.

Best Car Mount

Don't worry about your phone and mount falling, find a good spot for this mount and it will stay there until you decide to take it down. Using the strong magnets in this mount and the Peak Design Magsafe cases and your phone will be where you need it, when you need it. I have had this mount for a couple years and I love that you can move the direction the phone is facing and it still feels very sturdy. As always, Peak Design made a high quality product.

My son bought me a case and suggested I get the charging mount. He's got the mount that doesn't charge. It works well so far but I am concerned because it has a bent shape where the adhesive pad is and I mounted it on a flat surface. Hopefully it will hold. Otherwise it seems to do what it's supposed to.

Poorly Designed - Will not last!

Overall, really poor design and does not come with strong enough adhesive to last more than a month or so with normal use. I have an iPhone Pro, not a max, and the adhesive has needed to be replaced almost monthly. I have had it fall off completely as well as just sag and droop throughout that time frame. Disappointed in the oversight here - Peak used to be very thoughtful with their design and cover all the angles to make a good product, but the had a major swing and miss here. Total waste of my money!
