[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I picked up the Peak Design Out Front Bike Mount V2 for my electric beach cruiser, mainly because I wanted an easy way to keep my phone accessible while I’m out riding and shooting content.
This thing is excellent. The build quality is exactly what I’ve come to expect from Peak Design. It feels solid, looks clean on the bike, and doesn’t have that “cheap accessory bolted onto my handlebars” vibe.
The biggest win for me is how quickly I can attach and remove my phone. The mount is secure when I’m riding, but it’s still incredibly easy to use when I need to grab my phone to shoot a quick photo, check something, or capture some video for social media.
As a photographer and someone who is constantly creating content, having my phone right there is surprisingly useful. I can ride, stop somewhere interesting, pull the phone off, grab a few shots or clips, and keep moving.
I’m using it on an electric beach cruiser, so I’m not exactly taking it down a mountain bike trail, but it handles everything I’ve thrown at it without a problem.
Highly recommended if you want a clean, well-built phone mount that actually feels like part of the bike rather than an afterthought.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Always works and is a stable platform for phone use and video on the bike. Found a benefit I didn’t think I needed. The bike mount saved my phone in a bad bike crash in that it absorbed the impacts and displaced the crash energy. This broke the mount and the case but saved my cell phone from any damage- so I am buying a replacement and I use this setup on all my bikes.

The rattling is real and worst when trying to video over dirt or gravel. I had to cut a piece of old inner tube and strap it under the case to tighten it up. It would be nice if a peak design company could integrate a peak design solution for this problem.
Mine broke along with the case in a slow crash, but at least the iPhone's okay. (Except the small lip on the front of the case keeps exposing my screen protectors to get cracked, but that's not directly related to this mount.)
I was hoping there would be a better mount by another company, but I'm not convinced there is when considering how the SlimLink design works and the complete ecosystem. Almost bought an SP, Quadlock, or Rokform for the iPhone upgrade I'm about to get, but I think PD is luring be back with the bright orange (ibis) SlimLink GNAR Case for iPhone, because I'm sick of black and muted colors when I need to spot my phone.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Really like this mount. It is allow and grabs the bars really well. I've had other plastic mounts that don't have the clamping grip. I also like the slim phone case mounting detail and that it attaches in landscape and portrait orientations.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Awesome mount. Quick, easy and secure. It even survived an incident where I dropped my bike directly on it with just a couple scuffs. Haven’t yet crashed with my phone mounted, so can’t speak to its retention in that scenario. Hopefully I’ll never be able to update that part of this review.
