Best iPhone Case Ever

I got this case for my iPhone 16 Pro Max and love it. Now acquiring the whole system of mounts and accessories. The quality - design and engineering is superior to anything on the market. If you want the best for your phone then go with Peak Design. Enjoy !!

I purchased the Tan Clarino Everyday Case for my iPhone 16 Pro Max after being disappointed with similar-priced competitors’ products, and I absolutely love it! The quality and design exceeded my expectations. My only regret is that PD doesn’t offer a matching mobile wallet!

Great except…

Dear PD Team,
I wish you will design the case so that it is more creator friendly, the main draw back is the bottom part is too thick and deep that I cannot use modern day flash drive to plug into. For example the Lexar professional go ssd, hope you will redesign that part for upcoming iphones

Loop design is bad

I’ve now put in a second warranty claim for my everyday loop case. The loop design is smart but not practical, and only lasts a couple of months before it stops working properly.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love the system… screen protection could be better

Been using this case for about a year now. Love the color, look and feel. Love the whole magnetic system and have mounts for my motorcycles, bicycles, cars, and night stands. The whole design and how everything plays well together is simply genius.
Some improvements can be made however…
The lip that goes around the glass to protect isn’t tall enough anymore compared to previous models. If you drop your phone you’re pretty much guaranteed to break your screen protector on a corner. Have broken 3 already since owning this case.
The leatherette is pretty thin and has scratched quite badly.
Only other complaint is that the color I have is hard to keep clean and the edges have darkened a bit. Black would be a safer choice but I think I still like the warm sand color even with it dirty.

Nice case, strong magnets, camera cut out awkward

Brought vegan leather version for iPhone 16 Pro. Overall an excellent case, with strong magnets. I like the integration with the rest of the peak kit. The one area for improvement is the camera button. It is accomplished with a cutout instead of a capacitance button. The cutout is a bit awkward to use/access.
I would recommend this to a friend!

struggling to love - uncomfortable to hold

i'm struggling to love this case. when i hold my phone with one hand i generally curl my pinky finger under the base of the phone (where the speakers and charging port are) and use my pinky for stability. unfortunately, the cutouts for the speakers/charging port are uncomfortably sharp edged. the phone ends up resting on the inside edge of my pinky and it's not great. i don't have unusually soft hands (although i suppose i could work to build callouses on the inside of my pinky somehow) but it's still less than ideal.
everything else is great (cycling mount in particular!) - but holding is something you do with your phone a lot,

One niggling weak spot.

This is my third attempt to love the everyday case with loop. The case itself is fine, I like the integration with the PD ecosystem, I like the MagSafe functionality. But the loop is a weak spot. I love the idea of it. An integral loop that stows away so other accessories can still be used. Brilliant idea. I use the loop every time I hold the phone because small hands, big phone. Unfortunately though, almost immediately after I start using the case, the fabric layers of the loop start to separate (it’s just folded, not sewn or glued together) and the tiny magnet that holds the loop flat when I’m not using it slides out. For a while I can find it and slide it back in but eventually it gets lost. It’s a small thing but this is Peak Design, not Average Design. The warranty solution is to send out another case. Lovely, but I did that less than a year ago and don’t want another case to go through the mail so the other one can go in the landfill. The case is still functional, but not in the elegant way it could be. With phones being our most touched tools most days, the loop is a significant interface between the case and the hand and it matters.
Maybe seal the strap somehow so the fabric stays together and the magnet doesn’t fall out. Or glue the magnet to the strap. Or include a couple of the wee magnets in the box. Would love for this to be my favorite case ever but for my needs, it’s just not. For my next phone I will look elsewhere.
