Weaker magnet?

I bought this 16 pro everyday case because I was so happy with my 12 pro everyday case ever since it came out. I'm still happy with this current one but I've noticed that the magnet seems to be significantly weaker. With my older 12 pro case, I was able to magnetize my phone to my fridge and the work out machines at my gym. With the current 16 pro case, it doesn't stick at all. Part of me is wondering if this has to do with the Clarino material that I got for my new case. But there's really no way for me to test that, so would love to see what the peakdesign team says
I tried to submit my video for the review but it kept telling me it was an invalid link. But here's the link for anyone that wants to see what I mean:

Good at first

I have had this case for a few months now. Works well on my bike mount, but the case is wearing in certain spots and the loop is completely useless. The finger loop no longer sits flat when not in use, and now it’s actually falling apart. Disappointing for such an expensive item.

Avoid at all costs. Shattered phone after Replaced
on December 17, 2024

Terrible case. Either I got a manufacturing defect twice (the loop broke after one month of use, got a replacement) or this round of cases is crap. I just dropped my phone from shoulder height on cars wood floor and it just cracked the back of my phone. It's completely shattered after a few months of use. Absolutely terrible. I may not ever buy one of these phone cases again. Please make a more durable case for iPhone 16 pro. These are not built for real everyday use let alone outdoor activities. My old iPhone 13 Pro make it 2+ years without a scratch on it with a peak design case on. Multiple drops on rocks and boulders etc and not a scratch. Fiancé also has a pixel case and has no problems. iPhone 16 pro? Avoid this case at all cost. There is not enough camera protection. Moving on until they fix these problems. Wish they could buy me a new phone as I feel like I was sold a load of crap. I'm a loyal peak design customer and have spent thousands on gear but this time my trust is lowered in this brand.

Great case except for camera control

I had the Everyday Case for my iPhone 13 mini and bought one for my iPhone 16. In general, it’s a great case. The fabric feels good in the hand, provides a good hold, and looks great. It offers protection without being very bulky and works well with MagSafe.
So why deduct a star? Camera Control. The cutout for Camera Control doesn’t work well: I have to place my finger just so to get it to trigger but most of the time it takes multiple tries: it gets in the way of using the control. I tried an OtterBox case which used a bottom similar to that on Apple’s cases: it’s a much better solution. I almost returned the case but am keeping it a bit longer to see if I’ll get used to it, because I really like everything else about the case. Still not sure if I’ll keep it, I may switch to a less attractive Apple case that works better for camera control.

Loop Quality Fail
on January 16, 2025

Been a loop case fan since they came out. These new ones missed the mark sadly. The loop doesn’t seem to have a magnet at all, the quality of the loop wore out within a week. Their older models lasted at least 6 months to a year. Which I was fine with, as I’m a heavy loop user. I love the case overall but I mainly buy this for the loop. I hope they improve this design going forward.
The material on the new colors just don’t seem the same even though they say they are between the green and black.

Form Over Function: A Misstep for Peak Design
on November 24, 2024

The Everyday Peak Design Case is a disappointment, primarily due to its handling of the iPhone 16 Pro Max’s capacitive button. Instead of integrating tactile buttons, the case merely provides a cutout, which is visible in the product images but far more problematic in real use than expected.
The absence of an actual button insert makes the capacitive button significantly less responsive, resulting in a frustrating and inconsistent user experience. For a case that’s otherwise well-crafted and aimed at enhancing daily functionality, this design choice feels like a glaring oversight.
While the case offers decent protection and a sleek aesthetic, the poor usability of such a crucial feature severely undermines its value. I regret purchasing this case and would caution others to think twice if they prioritize smooth interaction with their device.
Peak Design’s attention to quality is usually commendable, but this feels like a case of prioritizing form over function—and it doesn’t work.

Defective! Do not buy this version.

I just received the case for my iPhone 16 Pro and it has a major design flaw. Too much material has been cut out of the bevel where the new camera action button is, leaving the top strip weak and very flexible. Not only that, but it is also constantly engaging the button due to the flexibility of the top strip when in my pocket. A huge step behind in an ecosystem I bought into years ago and have leveraged for everything from my Canon cameras to my motorcycle.
