Great Car Vent Mount

I purchased this to replace a competitors magnetic vent mount. The Everyday case that I also purchased keeps the phone mounted even while driving on rutted roads in the desert. This mount also allows more air flow from the vent vs the old system I used.

Expensive, but 100% you get what you pay for. Cheap plastic mounts are expensive because they need replacing so much, and none of them are rock steady and solid as the Peak Design. I used mine for a year in a new vehicle every 2 days, and it performed flawlessly.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Bought this for my car (obviously) which I take out to access backcountry trails and campsites on rough gravel roads. I’ve had other magnet mounts (not mag-safe) that worked okay but, would eventually slip and my phone would fall on gravel roads or rough railroad crossings. This vent mount has worked flawlessly so far! Love the fact that I’m not blocking my vents either. Biggest flaw is the charging capability so far. To be fair I’m not using the included charging cable as I use a Bluetooth to FM radio plug-in in my rig for music which only has USB-A connections which is likely why the charging is so slow. May have to consider getting a new plug-in for faster charging. Still, would definitely recommend the vent mount!

Best car vent mount ever!

I've had a few car vent mounts and they never worked, but this one is a piece of clever metal engineering that works and hold your phone super securely! I got the Qi2 version but beware it needs a 20W supply to work properly and it would seem that most USB-A or -C outlets don't normally provide that - you have to use the 12V (cigarette lighter) port in your car! It would be helpful if Peak Design made this clear on their product information on the website.

My latest edition since I bought the phone case and motorbike mount, which were both great. This new car mount fitted on to my air vent securely, and my phone pops on firmly every time, and never falls off (however many speed bumps I go over). Very solidly built, much better quality than previous cheap plastic ones. A convert!

Perfect solution for my car. The design creates a sturdy connection with the vent while allowing me to adjust the angle and position of the phone. I also appreciate the ability to charge my phone while using it.
