Great but…

This is my second everyday carry case with the loop. I am surprised that Peak Design, a camera accessory company doesn’t have a phone case compatible with third party lenses.
Before buying this second case for my iPhone 16, I bought a small rig phone case for the adaptability of other lenses. But the case was terrible and I missed finger loop of my iPhone 12 peak design phone case.
PD, please tell me I’m wrong and your cases work with third party lenses… that DONT CLIP on.

Fits perfectly

I owned one of these for my iphone12 and got a new one when I upgraded my phone. As an everyday case it fits perfectly, buttons work nicely and protects the phone while looking nicer than a plastic case. I use a bike mount and the case keeps the phone secure even while mountain biking. Never had it bounce off.

Beautiful, but slippery

Beautiful, professional looking case. The buttons are sleek but tactile, and the magnet works perfectly with the tripod. I only wish that the case was a little less slippery in my hand. Both the fabric style back and the sides are quite smooth. I'd feel more confident taking my phone out of my pocket if the sides had just a slight tacky feel to them. Otherwise, perfect.

I have had 2 of these cases one on my old phone and now on my new phone. I have a peak design wallet and car charger all work flawlessly and classy looking too.

Great minimalist case

I loved the first one I got for my iPhone 11 so I bought one for my upgraded phone. I like the fit, protection around camera and mag functionality and ability to attach clips. I like the deceased slipperiness of my phone with this case on. I use the wrist strap with it

Excellent materials and build, a few design flaws.

Pros:
1) Very solid material on the bumpers at the edges of the case with a good sense of grip even when wet
2) Amazing magnetic connection that really amplifies MagSafe functionality
3) The texture and tactile feel of the back material on the cloth variant of this case is satisfying to my sense of touch -- I really love having this case in-hand and just makes wielding my phone so much better
4) The proprietary link system adds an extra level of security for more heavy-duty tasks that someone might use their phone for, such as motorbike or bicycle riding
Cons:
1) The camera control cut-out feels just a tiny bit too narrow and I wish it was a little bit open. With or without a case, I find the "half-press" and sliding functions of the camera control to be too finnicky and I have them disabled, but this case's opening for camera control still feels just slightly too restrictive -- and I have small hands so this isn't really a large fingers issue. It just feels like it takes a little too much effort to actuate the camera control due to the relatively small size of the opening to access it.
2) The bottom sections that allow for strap attachment feel a little too deep. This is NOT an aesthetic issue for me, it's purely a tactile feel and comfort issue -- any time I rest my hands at the bottom of the phone with this case on, it feels like my fingers or thumbs get uncomfortably wedged a bit into the extra gap space at the bottom. I understand this is to expand the case's capabilities even further into Peak Design's existing ecosystem but that's a particular function that I personally have no interest in and I experience the slight discomfort just often enough to bring it up in my overall assessment here.
Overall, this case is still excellent and I like it enough to not seek an alternative, but I kind of wish there were a slightly more basic version (maybe an "Essential") variant that addressed the flaws I outlined above -- because that would make it PERFECT! But as it stands, this is still an EXCELLENT case and will be the case that I use for the lifetime of my phone!

An awesome refresh on an already great product

I bought one of these cases for my iPhone 13 Pro back when I got it, and after recently updating to an iPhone 16 Pro, updated to the latest version of this case. It’s as awesome as the 13 version, and after using the phone for a few days sans-case, it’s like having an old friend back. Designed and built just as well as the 13, if not better. Another great Peak Design product!

struggling to love - uncomfortable to hold
on January 28, 2025

i'm struggling to love this case. when i hold my phone with one hand i generally curl my pinky finger under the base of the phone (where the speakers and charging port are) and use my pinky for stability. unfortunately, the cutouts for the speakers/charging port are uncomfortably sharp edged. the phone ends up resting on the inside edge of my pinky and it's not great. i don't have unusually soft hands (although i suppose i could work to build callouses on the inside of my pinky somehow) but it's still less than ideal.
everything else is great (cycling mount in particular!) - but holding is something you do with your phone a lot,
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
