This is very handy on my desk next to my workstation. Of course the inductive charging time is much slower than a direct charging cable, but that is NOT due to the Peak Design mount.

USB-C connection failed after a couple years.

After a couple years, the usb-c connection wore out and I hadn't even changed the cable. Checked the cable and wall power supply - both are fine. Expected more from PD, especially for the high price.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I've had this charging stand for a couple of years now and use it every night. It is seriously built well, exactly what you expect from PD. I have a multitude of their products from bags to straps, mobile cases, chargers. Every thing Peak Design is outstanding! Don't be afraid to buy their products, they are top tier products in all facets...

Great, heavy-duty metal charger

This charger is great. Heavy-duty metal. The hinge is smooth, but firm, so you can keep it at any angle you like. It worked as well with my old 3rd party phone case as it does with my new Peak Design phone case.
Pro tip: There's an indentation on the back side where the actual charging coil portion fits when it's folded closed. This indentation is the perfect resting spot for a Shokz OpenFit case.

Charges well

It charges well and the stand is excellent quality. My suggestion would be to place the cord somewhere else because you need to remove it every time you want to fold the charger flat for transport.

Doesn't work with Pixel 10 Pro XL in any case

I have a Pixel 10 Pro XL, and I've tried both the PD Everyday case and Gnar case, and Pixel Snap/MagFit/MagSafe/Qi2 compatible cases from Mous and Spigen, and nothing works well or reliably with this charger. I don't know if I got a bad charger or what, but if I put my Pixel in a case on this charger, there is only maybe a 1-in-3 chance the charger detects the phone at all. If the phone does connect, it charges very slowly and only for 5-10% before it looses connection. I think I've only had it charge my phone to 100% once while it was in a case. But if I take it out of the case, charging works just fine. Quick charging, adaptive charging overnight, everything behaves just as you would expect it to. Its like it can't "adapt" to the thickness of the cases themselves. Or that the case impacts alignment between the charger and phone enough that it cannot get a good connection. Maybe both. I am not going to give this charger one star because it does work. But removing my phone from its case to use it with the charger kind of defeats the purpose of having a case at all, so I will give this charger two stars.
