Freezer works fine and does what it is supposed to do but is very loud.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It's great to hear that the freezer is working well for you, except for the concerns about the noises. High-efficiency refrigerators and freezers may introduce unfamiliar sounds. These sounds normally indicate that the refrigerator is operating correctly. Some surfaces on floors, walls, and kitchen cabinets may make these sounds more noticeable. Frostfree and QUIET, I'm in love. Going up to the 13 sq ft was definitely the right move. I can see into all my baskets, and don't have to rummage around for what I'm looking for.

Our old chest freezer died and so having wanted an upright for many years we choose this freezer and it is great. Accessibility is the best. Glad we made the choice.
