Colour me Disenchanted

Unfortunately I left the door ajar on my wonderful frigidaire upright freezer completely frying the compressor. As it was a Friday night and I had it packed, I called the local frigidaire dealer and bought a replacement sight unseen (that's how much faith i had in these products). The next day it came, the old wonderful freezer removed, set up and waited the appropriate time to finally open the door. Although the outside dimensions were the same as my wonderful freezer, the inside is soooo much smaller and it also had glass shelves. GLASS SHELVES in a freezer - who is the mental giant that came up with that?? the food slides all over the shelves and because there is a gap between the back wall and the glass shelves, my food slips and falls. Wish I knew, I would have paid to get my wonderful old freezer fixed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Stylish Freezer that fits nicely in our kitchen. Nice addition to our other kitchen appliances. Our kitchen fridge is also a Figidair and has been working well for the past 10 years….

We’ve had it for about a month or so and it’s been excellent. I just can’t believe how beautiful it is and how efficient it is, best freezer I’ve ever had.

Wait time between accessing inside

This is a nice freezer. Loads of room. The glass shelves are nice. It is well lit, and the pockets in the doors are very roomy. My only flaw is that when you open it, and close it, you can't open it again right away. I think it has to be with the vacuum seal. I wish they would have a workaround for this. When I try to force it open, the whole thing moves. I have this on a platform in my garage, so it shifts off the platform when I try to force it open. I usually have to wait 10-15 minutes before I can open it again. The seal is very tight.
I have this in my unheated garage year-round, and have had no issues in the freezing temperatures.
