Portable and convenient

It took some time to figure out but overall works well to stream content onto a card. The video quality is excellent. The only drawback is that it did not come with a power cord.

Excellent portable dock

Very versatile and convenient

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Setup is effortless, it connect your handheld (Steam Deck, Switch, Ally), just insert a micro‑SD card, hit the front button—and you’re recording, no PC needed. Lots of ports on the dock. Sometimes the wires get a little warm but other than that, great product!

Slightly disappointed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was pretty excited to try out the AVerMedia Xtra Go GC515. It looked sleek and promised to make recording and streaming super easy. And for the most part, it does the job—video looks good and it handles gameplay smoothly.
But after using it for a bit, I ran into some annoyances. The setup wasn’t as simple as I hoped, and getting everything to work right took more trial and error than it should have. Sometimes the sound wouldn’t match the video, which was really frustrating during streams. It also tends to get pretty warm if you’re using it for a long time, which made me a little nervous.
Overall, it’s not terrible—it works once you get it going—but for the price, I expected a smoother experience. If you’re just starting out, it might be okay, but if you want something that’s really easy and reliable, this might not be it.
