This motherboard is great. I found it to fast as well as being able to increase my computer usage. Well done. Also Best Buy got it to me in a fast manner. Thank you Best Buy!
Decided to go with this mobo for the many features for the price. With bang for buck in mind, I had to go with it. The BIOS is definitely troublesome and buggy, I had to flash back to a previous version to make my build post, but now it's working as expected. Also, it took some time, but I did have trouble aligning it with my chassis' standoffs, but it ended up working out perfectly. I don't believe that there should be any trouble with installing it into the case and it was just my own incompetence.
This board and the Ryzen 7 x3d deployed flawlessly for me. I'd set up a dual boot for Mint and W11. Mint struggled initially with the WiFi deployment and was resolved within a day by the Mint community. This board/processor combo is preforming beyond expectations. The build quality is excellent. Fitment in the 4000d case with an Artic 360 and the 9070xt is excellent.
My only complaint is the location of a pair of M.2 5x4 channels directly under the GPU. Servicing the drives will require the GPU to be removed or you're gonna struggle with/endanger the hardware you're working on and around.
Really nice motherboard for the price, it's the first time I've had a motherboard with the led debug display feature and have found it to be extremely useful. the m.2 quick releases are a really great feature as well. I was able to update the bios without any issues and have been pretty pleased with this motherboard so far,
I got MSI's x870 Tomahawk as part of a promotion. It has a ton of great features and the installation process was very easy. Would recommend to anybody building a high-end PC.
I purchased this motherboard because it is one of the few that does not force you to lane share with the GPU.
As long as you go into the BIOS and disable/lower USB 40Gbps Type-C ports on the back; the PCIE 5 will not share and you can use the full speed of the GPU X16 and PCIe 5.0 for nvme.
MSI has always been top of the game in Motherboards, GPUs and more..
