Just installed. Not impressed with missing screw discovered during installation. Would have rated higher if ALL parts were included.

This GE Disposall was purchased to replace a Waste King 1/2 HP unit that was in service for over 20 years and had begun to leak from the bottom. The 1-star reviews for the otherwise highly rated brands (Insinkerator, Waste King, etc.) really bothered me, particularly those mentioning poor quality of workmanship and early failure. The price was right on this GE model and it had all the features I wanted. It installed DIY very easily, has been in service for about two weeks, and so far it has been excellent. It passed my personal test, which is a drumstick chicken bone, with flying colors. It is relatively quiet, and the feature I like the most is the Drain Boost technology which will keep clogs from forming in the drain. The price was right and shipping was free and fast -- can't beat a deal like this!
