Great Range!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this new induction range. I had an electric range for many years and when I moved into a different house it had a gas range. I liked the gas over the basic electric, but did not like the fumes! Induction is perfect. It heats things up so fast. I would say double the speed of gas. Glass top cleans easily and nothing gets hot except the pan. It is so efficient and I would recommend!

Electric cooking for those who can't afford gas.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When my much hated old electric glass top range died, I couldn't afford the gas line needed to put in a new gas stove. I decided to try this Whirlpool induction range and, so far, I have loved it! It behaves more like gas cooking - quick heating, quick cool down and subtle heat adjustment. I found there was a learning curve with the touch pad controls. They seem to have a sweet spot you have to touch precisely in order to turn the cooktop/oven on and off and adjust the temperature. The timer I found also difficult to use and it only has one beep when finished. If you miss the beep, you don't hear another one for a minute. I find that the oven is slow to reach baking temperature, but other than that, bakes fine. It also has a convection and air fry feature in the oven. Overall, I am pleased and I recommend this range for anyone who doesn't like electric cooking but can't afford/doesn't want the gas transition. The price of the induction range and the cost of a very expensive set of new induction ready cookware combined was still much cheaper than putting in a gas line.
