Induction cooktop/convection oven at a great price

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are still learning how to use the induction cooktop as well as convection oven and air fryer feature, but we are very impressed with this product. Food heats up quickly and evenly on the cooktop and temperature adjustments happen very quickly. We already had all class copper core and Staub cast iron cookware, so we were all set. We like that there is a raised edge all along the cooktop to contain spills, which a lot of more expensive induction ranges did not have. Also, the price was half of the other induction ranges at the store.

Fantastic, even heat!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this range as part of an energy upgrade program through my utility that helps low income families secure appliances that produce less indoor air pollution.
Pro’s: the air in our kitchen is SO much better, my asthma is a lot better since we stopped cooking with gas about 2 weeks ago, the house no longer smells weird when we use the stove top (the old gas one made our air monitor go off all the time reading “high VOCs”?).
The control is great on the temperature levels of the burners, I find that once you figure out the number for simmer, sauté, etc then it’s pretty easy.
The oven is so fast and quiet and very well insulated! I love the convection setting for pizzas especially. I bake a lot of cookies and there are no discernible hot spots.

Cons:
The only major con for me was that when our electrician installed the oven he put in an arc protector in the breaker panel as a “safety” measure and that…. Doesn’t work with electric ovens!! So installation was a bit touch and go at first, but once I realized what was wrong I just switched it out myself and now it works fine.

Great stove

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] . curve going from a 25 year old maytag electric stove to this new Whirlpool induction range but once I figured it all out, I love it. I love how the burners heat up so quickly and turn off so quickly. I don't love the feature where the burner goes off when you take a pan off, but quickly learned that if you take it off for just a couple of seconds it will come right back on. I also love the oven and the air fry feature! the oven works so well and cooks so evenly. I really love this stove and hope it lasts as long as the old one...who knows?

Cooks and bakes very well, but...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've use the oven to bake bread, and so far it has performed perfectly. The initial burn off oder is almost gone. The temp of the oven is spot on with an oven thermometer we trust. We like the fact that when selecting you're desired oven temp, you can key in the numbers. Also the temp seems to maintain the desired setting within +5° to -10°. We were able to disable all the beeps, for the oven, and keep the timer beep and temp reached beep. Nice!
Now the induction stove. The stove itself heats fast and cools fast. We have silicone mats, to prevent scratches, and the stove heats perfectly. The reasons for one less star are: 1) We can't seem to be able to rid ourselves of the beeps from the stove top! Or, lessen the volume. 2) The "Auto" function doesn't bring things to a boil when set to boil. Not sure why, but it might eventually bring something to boil, I just don't need that long of a wait. Aside from those two issues, for us, the range is a great replacement for our smelly gas oven.

So efficient and effective

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love how quickly I can boil water! Baking a casserole used to take me hours in my gas oven but now only takes 30 minutes. Cookies bake so evenly and beautifully! I love it. I just don’t love the touch “buttons” that are sometimes slow to respond and that can be frustrating. It took me awhile to figure it out.
