I can't write a full review on this, since I haven't even finished building book one yet, due to all of the missing pieces. As of step 306 on page 218, at least 16 pieces are missing. I have never had this problem with any LEGO set before. I just waited several weeks to get 15 pieces, and as soon as I started building again, I only got a few steps in and then had another missing piece. Unfortunately, they're not pieces that I have extras of so I can't keep building until I get these. I feel like I spent too much money on an inferior product.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
