Tasteful remake with pronounced issues

The level of detail and scaling is amazing on this new ARC 170 but there are glaring issues with the stickers/prints. The stickers on the canopy's are inexcusable for a premium toy, what should be white prints look more like a dark grey when applied to the canopy piece. There is also a printed tile piece where the maroon print is actually just really dark red and is not even close to matching the rest of the maroon pieces on the set. Overall this is a fantastic remake but at it's price point the issues with the stickers/printing does not make me feel satisfied with the amount I paid for this set.

This set is astonishing in revealing the expertise of the designer who has mixed engineering with art. It was somewhat difficult to build but in the process I marveled at the effort to construct a work of art. A set that can easily be dismissed but much better understood as to its careful attention towards perfection in design. Thank you to this designer and this small wonder.

say it was worth the wait. Such a fun build. I love the way the wings open and close using the Technic system. The mini-figures are amazing as well. Well done LEGO.

Although this set has received criticism for being down sized compared to the other ARC-170 star fighters, I really think this is a genuinely good set. The build experience is amazing, the minifigures are even better I would say. The only down side is the cockpit parts don’t have printed elements. But overall, this set is magnificent, and I would recommend this set if you have kids who enjoy Star Wars, or if you’re an adult who wants the nostalgia :-)

Super cool ship and design but MAJOR design flaw on the main wings. There's only a single connection point on one side that uses one unit, and this makes it incredibly weak. Bump it lightly and it breaks apart. I understand the wings need to be thin, but they need more reinforcement which I did on my own. The problem with doing this is it interferes with the folding outer wings. The under wing cannons fall off pretty easily too...
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
