Wish it was sturdier

I was so excited that Lego came out with all the teams in this size. I already had the McLaren from a previous year.
This set was a bit frustrating to build. The side panels are held on by a single dot. So as I continued to build the sides kept falling off. And I had the same issue with the floor panels.
Once it was fully built, it still kept falling apart. This set is so fragile.
It's not as fun to play with as the older McLaren set. Which stays together and rolls better.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Loved the build and how it turned out. We had just decided to get i to some od the automotive/ race car sets and thought this would be perfect before tryjng a bigger set. The only thing that was a little bit of a bother is my fingers are bigger so some of the stickers were a bit of a pain, but overall I loved how it turned out. We got 3 different builds this is just the first to put together. Very happy with it and will look good in our lego collection.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This McLaren MCL38 was so fun to build; I love all the cool details from the real 2024 race car. The wider rear tires, sponsor stickers, and opening cockpit with the halo bar are all super cool touches that make it feel authentic. It’s the perfect mix of display worthy and playable, especially with the driver minifig that fits right in the cockpit. Whether you’re a LEGO collector or just an F1 enthusiast, there’s no doubt you will enjoy this. Fun to build, looks great on a shelf, and gives off major race day vibes. It also makes a great gift.
