Never in a million years would I think that Nintendo and Lego would come together to make this. I don't really do the building these days, I leave it mostly to my son, and provide an assist here or there, but man, this set is unbelievable.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Not worth the money

I really liked this build and really appreciated the addition of Zelda to the LEGO community. However, this set is plagued by trying to be two things which is reflected in it's price. It seems that no matter which build you choose, you will have left over bags (not just pieces, bit whole bags). I feel like this set would have been better if they just focused on 1 Deku tree and kept the price point to a more affordable level. For comparison, this set is more expensive than the Notre Dame set which is larger and looks just as nice.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The spare pieces and lack of interactive elements makes me said it's so expensive but I am the target audience so they got me anyway. 2in1 should have used the spare prices better.

As both a lego fan and Zelda fan, I was delighted with the detail in this set and how fun it was to build. I hope lego continues to produce Zelda sets; after my experience with the Deku Tree set, I'll buy every one.
