I was trying to figure out how best to say this, and thankfully someone else said it perfectly, so I’m gonna partially quote their review: “It would have been better if Lego decided on one of the trees and stuck with that, or developed methods that utilize all parts for 2 trees, instead of leaving a considerable amount of bricks unusable for each option.” I’m a big Zelda fan and this was such a great choice for Lego to go with, but while I love the final outcome for both the Breath of the Wild and the Ocarina of Time, it left me feeling unsatisfied knowing that not all the pieces were used for either tree. I was hoping one tree option would utilize all the parts and maybe the other option would use less. I think the real future challenge for the designers (and I sincerely respect and appreciate their ingenuity, their level of genius never ceases to amaze me, it’s one of the reasons I came back to building Lego sets as an adult) is to create a 2-in-1 set that utilizes ALL pieces for BOTH options. This is still a great set overall, but please Lego, in the future, if you’re going to release a 2-in-1 set, have at least one of the options utilize all of the parts.

This is a wonderful build and the fact they have both the Ocarina of Time and Breath of the Wild version is awesome, even if you can only build one at a time. I hope to see more of the Zelda franchise in Lego form soon, my wallet is not looking forward to that

I bought this as a birthday gift for my son and he absolutely loved it! He is a huge Zelda fan and was very happy with all the characters it came with. He also likes that he can switch around what the tree looks like.

This set is absolutely fantastic. Yes, it has a premium price, but it actually FEELS like a premium product to me (LEGO Star Wars "Ultimate" Collector's Series, take note). The Minifigures got the VIP treatment with dual molded legs and arms, highly detailed printing, and custom hair molds. The builds are accurate to source material and packed full of little references from the games, the Master Sword and Hylian shield look fantastic, and, probably the best part, NO STICKERS! However, the biggest con I found with this set was the building process. It was a little more chaotic than other LEGO sets; having to open multiple numbered bags at once, rather than one at a time in numerical order, caused some space issues for me while building, and further complicates my normal, orderly disassembly process. It also would have been nice if the instructions included some tips on efficiently swapping between the two builds. I built the Ocarina of Time Version first, then the Breath of the Wild version. Both look fantastic, but I think the BotW one looks a little more substantial/filled out. Dear LEGO Designer(s), well done! I can't wait to see what is in store for the future of this new theme, but I really hope it gets the same VIP treatment as this set.

I am both a big Legend of Zelda fan, and a big Lego fan. Seeing these figures gave me a childhood fulfillment that I cant describe to you. Beautiful Lego set, my wife even loves it being displayed!

Terrible price, as always now.
But…I’ve been a Zelda fan since 1988, and I’ve always built Lego MOCS since that age…it’s been 36 years of loving The Legend and Zelda and throughout the years, I’ve still loved building Zelda MOCS, especially the last few years!
I’ve beaten Ocarina Of Time (100% completion) over 50 times, and I also 100% completed Breath of the Wild!
As a SUPER FAN of The Legend of Zelda, this set is perfect at meeting all expectations I could have had for this set!
The references are numerous and perfectly done!
This is a must buy if you love Ocarina of Time and Breath of the Wild and you you are a Lego aficionado!
The price is over priced but not WAY overpriced thanks to the fact that you get so many side builds with the Breath of the Wild version.
I love this set, and if you can get it on sale, do so!
But…I thank Lego for making a long impossible dream a reality!!!!!

Must-have for Zelda fans

Yes, this set is pricy, but if you are a serious Zelda and Lego fan, it is 100% worth the price. I built the breath of the wild version which uses more pieces and you are also able to build Link’s house and all of the characters/items featured in the ocarina of time build. I only have two small bags of pieces left over which I intend to use somehow to add to the build. There are no stickers in the set and all of the printed pieces are amazing. I have wanted Zelda legos for 25 years and this was one of the best building experiences I have had. :)

An Excellent Start The Legend of Zelda Line!

Like many, I was super excited to learn that we would finally have The Legend of Zelda Legos! There is no better place to start than the Great Deku Tree! This set is chock full of excellent treasure pieces. Though the box says four mini figures I think Lego did themselves a disservice not calling out each and every character that you can build in the set. There are at least seven beyond the four!
I do not mind the 2-in-1 option as it gives you just that...options. However, I would love it if Lego sold an expansion pack so you could build both versions as I would be hard pressed to purchase two full sets, but I certainly would consider an expansion.
I hope we see more sets in the future, both big and small! Bring on the mini-figs!
All in all if you are a fan of the Zelda series, this one is for you!
