Not what I expected

As much as I wanted to like this car it was not really what I was expecting honestly, for example the Nos part of the car were way too small and it looked so out of place. The mirrors don’t even look like mirrors. it’s a bit stocky since it is technic but I’ve seen other cars from technic that are not stocky. Definitely they could have done better. Also way too many stickers…

Got to buy anything fast and furious. Love it. Love the way the 2jz pistons fire and the fact it has a rear diff that actually works. Very cool. Feels good to feel like a kid again

Iconic Movie Car

This was my first Technic build. I was never interested in the Technic line, until this particular car came out. We are huge fans of the movie franchise, so I had to have this. It was a different experience, but it was really fun to build. The movement and details of the car are fantastic. I love everything about it.

This build took me 2 fast and furious movies to build & I built through. I love the bold orange color and the iconic decals. Is the design perfect, no. It’s boxy and not smooth like you’d assume a car to be. Would be difficult to accomplish in Lego without huge pieces. At that rate, just get a model car. Do I still love this set, absolutely. I can’t wait to display it with my Skyline and I’m looking forward to other F&F builds. Lego can keep taking my money with this franchise.

The car looks great and I'm happy with the finished product. However the engine bay is missing any kind of detail that would represent the iconic 2JZ engine, not even dual turbos. And the NOS bottles in the back are terribly done. They should be 3 times larger and include NOS stickers.

Pretty Problematic To Fans Of The FnF Series

The only thing wrong with this set is that it's half the size of the Dom's Charger set released 5ish years ago. Within the ethos of the story, there was a pivotal importance in how those two cars were evenly matched.
The original film was released at a time when tuning import cars was an up and coming trend, and facing a lot of vitriol from the muscle car community. I thought equalizing the two styles at the end of the film sent a powerful message. Portraying them unequally as Lego sets feels like a fundamental misunderstanding of what these cars meant, both to the film, and to car culture in general.
Also, this was Paul Walker's original hero car.
