Plagued by missing parts

The good: The beginning of the build was meeting the standard of excellence LEGO has set across its product lines. Bright, engaging colors, an immersive build process, and the kind of fun I've come to expect from these sets. The bad: Bag 2 was already open when I opened the box. I thought nothing of it until I reached that portion of the build and discovered seven (!) missing pieces, which has never happened. I only discovered the remaining six were missing after continuing the build following the receipt of the first piece. The ugly: I'll have to wait at least another two weeks to receive the missing pieces and continue the build. I'm almost always pleased with the quality and craftsmanship of these sets and this is the first time in years I've had a set missing multiple pieces from an open bag. Here's hoping it's the last.
