Great device, a few limitations

Bought the Delta Pro 3 and an extra battery. The battery connected to the Pro 3 with the included cable easily and they synced right away. One battery doubles the capacity of the Pro 3. It is a little heavy but the handles make it easy to carry. It uses a proprietary cable for the connection but it seems very sturdy. I will likely add a second extra battery in the future.
The Pro 3 seems very solid. It came on right away and charged easily. It has plenty of outlets. I already have a manual transfer switch in my house so I connected the 240 outlet to it to test it out. The Pro 3 (with one extra battery) ran my full sized side by side fridge for 2 hours and dropped from 90% charge to 86% charge.
The maximum charge rate from using the wall plug is 1800 watts per hour but you can use the phone app to reduce that. I set it down to 1200 and it worked perfectly fine. The manual says you can charge it at 240v 3600 watts but I haven't found any way to do that.
The manual is awful. Literally just a sheet with a couple of pictures and a few sentences. Hey, Ecoflow, you really need to give a better set of instructions for your device because the unit itself seems amazing.
They show a variety of ways to charge the device but a lot of it is things like solar panels or car chargers. If you use a regular generator you have to use the standard wall plug which maxes out at 1800 watts an hour. Hey Ecoflow - I have a generator with a 240v outlet. Give me a way to plug it into the Pro 3 so I can charge at 3600 watts an hour please.
Warning, the Pro 3 can connect 2 extra batteries OR 1 battery and 1 Ecoflow Smart Generator, but not both. The Smart Generator uses the same plug and connection site as the batteries and the Pro 3 only has two of them. With 2 batteries installed you have to use the regular C20 connector (Standard wall plug) to charge the machine and you lose the "Smart" connection.
Ecoflow - please either put two plugs on the battery so they can be connected together, like the Pro Ultra. Or, make an adapter that lets the Smart Generator connect to the left lower AC Inlet plug, so I can have 2 extra batteries AND use a Smart Generator with the smart functions intact.
Overall it's a nice piece of equipment. It's perfect for short power outages, even with it's given limitations. It's the best on the market at the time I write this review. But, if you are looking for a whole house backup with really large capacity I would look at their Delta Pro Ultra instead. But this will be more than enough to get me through an overnight power outage.

Extendable Handle failure on two dp3’s

Purchased two dp3’s and two extra batteries. Best working performance on the market. Both were delivered with non-working extendable pull handles. They need a new source. Imagine having the top of the line suite case and you can’t pull it behind you. Or, you can’t store it because it does not retract.

I found the Delta pro three to be a very good solar generator with one exception I would, suggest to buy two 400 W panels because I found that the charging capabilities are there without the additional solar panel it charge slower than I would’ve liked it to

Works great but could use a light to see buttons

I’m happy that the DELTA Pro 3 works exactly as advertised. The only difficulty I encountered was when using it at night in my camper i had to get a flashlight to see the buttons and the ports. A backlight to the ports and buttons would have made it easier to use.

Only 2600 Watts of Solar Charging?
on October 16, 2025

As an owner of the DP3 (and formerly the DP), and as I'm leaning more and more about home backup and now journeying into off-grid migration, what a disappointment the DP3 has turned out to be. And it all comes down to one thing: The atrocious low solar input this device has. EcoFlow's release of the Delta 3 Ultra Plus has also really exposed the weakness of the DP3.
As a standalone unit, the DP3 is fantastic. Being able to provide RV camping power and LIMITED home backup power, the DP3 is quite versatile. However, EcoFlow continues to market the DP3 as an "off-grid" solution. Well, it is, but for VERY small loads due to it's lack of solar input. Meaning, if you max out the DP3 with two extra batteries (giving you 12,288 watts of capacity), at 2600 watts of solar input (more like 2000 watts realistically), it's going to take more than a perfect solar day to top off your battery bank to 100% charged. What's puzzling is that the Delta Pro Ultra was released long before the DP3, and the DPU has 600V of solar input as compared to the DP3's 210V of solar input. When you consider that the DP3 can fast charge at 7000 watts across multiple sources, why they arbitrarily decided not to include either a 3rd 150V solar input or a 450V solar input was definitely a questionable design decision. In an off-grid situation, a power station like this should be able to fully charge your maxed battery bank in 4 hours (one solar day), which, in the case of the DP3, puts that at 3100 watts (really 4000 watts max due to VoC low temperature coefficients). In other words, sure, you can power your tiny home or cabin off-grid with the DP3, but you're going to be using a metric ton of propane to keep your batter bank topped off. That's not very economical.
Now that EcoFlow has released the Delta 3 Ultra Plus (which provides a better RV camping experience over the DP3, and which also provides similar limited home backup like the DP3), and with the availability of the scalable Delta Pro Ultra and the new Delta Pro Ultra X, unless EcoFlow plans to equip the Delta Pro 4/X (whatever name the decide to call it) with a MUCH higher solar input capability, there's really no longer a need to go the direction of the DP3. And since the new Smart Home Panel 3 will not be backwards compatible with the Delta Pro 3, it appears the Delta Pro series of products has seen the end of its days. It's too bad, because I REALLY liked the DP and DP3, and where I had plans to get the Smart Home Panel (2 or 3) as I progress further into off-grid living, slowly, one circuit at a time. The DPU/X is now my targeted product to achieve this goal.
I still give this product 4 stars overall, because it IS a good unit on it's own. But as of two weeks ago, so is the Delta 3 Ultra Plus, which is much lighter, and which has a much lower price point.
EcoFlow: I love your products, and I own many of them. But in this situation, a big blunder was made.

High capacity, serious power

I recently purchased the EcoFlow Delta Pro 3, and it has completely changed how I think about backup power. The 4kWh capacity and 4000W output give me confidence that I can run everything I need during an outage, from my fridge to heavier appliances. Setup was simple, and the app makes it easy to track usage. It’s heavy, but the wheels and handle make moving it manageable. For me, the peace of mind of having reliable whole-home backup is worth every penny.
