Difficult to set up

The printer works fine after setup. However, I find it very difficult to set up. The included booklet was useless. The Canon website somehow makes simple download of the printer driver complicated and confusing. Finally I had to get my IT daughter to set up for me because I could not do it. Could not recommend this machine because I do not want others to go through this frustrating experience.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have had the printer for over a week now. Its a great printer! It was quite easy to set up and connect, the print is clear and no residue and it is a quiet and sturdy machine. Love that this printer is not an inkjet like my last one! I have not used all the printer functions yet as I don't use this printer except for home use and I do very little printing (appoximately 15 pages a month). I do hope that this printer lasts a very long time and does not cause me any concerns. Let's see how it goes over the next 6 months.....

OK for some needs not all.

Took two hours on the phone to try and download then connect drivers for unit which should have been a few minutes on-line. Different than my old Cannon printer so a learning curve. Printing and scanning not nearly as easy as my older ImageClass unit though it does do the job.
I would recommend this to a friend!
