I had a quisinart processor 40 years ago and it was a slayer. I primarily used it for shredding cheddar cheese and it performed perfectly. Eventually the plastic bowl cover deteriorated to the point that i had to replace the whole assembly so i decided to again go with a 7 cup quisinart. I tried using each shredder blade and found that i had to exert a lot of downward force on the feed to the point that i was distorting the shredder blade and overloading the motor. As a cheese shredder i have been singularly unimpressed with its performance.

I received my Cuisinart Food Processor for Christmas. I love to make no Pimento Cheese Spread like my grandmother used to make. My old processor was small, had to empty it several times while making it, I always had a hard time getting it cleaned out!
