Improvement in the royalties section needed

I use Turbo Tax every year, it is easy, but some improvements need to be made in the royalties section to make it more user friendly. With the gas and oil boom in recent years, I have had to add the taxes and other deductions manually in the documents section. Had I not known exactly how much money in royalties I received, I would've had to pay taxes on funds I never received.
Pros: My employment status changed this year

This year there was a logical error (bug) that prevented e-filing due to a non-supported form (7205) which did not need to be submitted (value = 0).

Not So Good This Year

I have always used Turbo Tax and found it to be quick and efficient. However, this year it was a nightmare. Everything had changed, and nothing was easy. I entered every item exactly as prompted, but when it came to the final review, it indicated that I had eight errors. When I clicked to review, it took me to a small screen that had something to do with one or possibly more of my 1099Rs. I could not figure out what it wanted. All of the payer information had been entered earlier, but I had these pink lines that told me absolutely nothing. I do not think I will be using Turbo Tax again next year.

The experience withTurbo TAx online or using the separate CD has always been daunting- takes tooo long to download... This year I used the discounted product that was sent to me via email. What a nightmare! I used the link in the email and it took me 5 hours to get my taxes filed! I only take the standard deduction so my filing should not take more than a hour at the MOST. I somehow went down the rabbit hole and found myself almost being charged the full price for the BASIC program when I had already been charge $42.22 before even starting the return.That's when the fun started... SO disappointed! Not sure that I will be using TT next year.Will probably use the IRS free filing format..... come on TT- you can do better than this!!!!
