[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using the Samsung 990 EVO Plus 2TB for a few weeks now, and I must say—it’s a beast in terms of speed, reliability, and efficiency.
Okay, so I got the 990 EVO Plus 2TB SSD, and let me just say—this thing is crazy fast. Like, I blink and my PC is already booted up. Games load in seconds, and transferring big files feels like dragging and dropping text files. It’s wild.
Okay, so I got the 990 EVO Plus 2TB SSD, and let me just say—this thing is crazy fast. Like, I blink and my PC is already booted up. Games load in seconds, and transferring big files feels like dragging and dropping text files. It’s wild.
I’m using it on a Gen4 slot, so it’s running at full speed. If you’ve only got Gen3, it’ll still work, but you won’t get the full speed boost.
Temps? Barely gets warm. I was worried about it getting hot since it’s so fast, but nah—it stays chill. Literally.
Also, installing it was super easy. Just plug it into the M.2 slot, screw it down, boom—you’re done. Samsung’s software is kinda cool too. Lets you check your drive health and stuff, which is a nice touch.
Bottom line: If you’re into gaming, editing, or just want your PC to feel snappy, this SSD is worth it. It’s not the absolute fastest out there, but it’s close—and from a brand I actually trust.
Would I recommend it? Yeah, 100%.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This SSD is very valuable for a great price. I needed extended storage for my Sony PS5, as I was running out of storage. I purchased this 990 EVO Plus 1TB SSD. It isn't one of those 1TB drives that is only like 825GB. This one is exactly 1TB. Its transfer speed is also incredible. Games that would take hours to transfer on a traditional SATA HDD only take minutes on this NVMe SSD. It's also very versatile. I could put this in my PC, PS5, Laptop, etc. Just a quick removal of a couple panels on the device and just put it in the PCIe slot. Simple as that. I am also confident that it will last me and work just like new. I am confident that this is one of, if not the best value and overall SSD on the market right now.
I would recommend this to a friend!
