Great drive but beware the firmware

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The drive is fast and works well, however, it had a major firmware issue that kept locking the drive up in certain circumstances. To make matters worse my XPS couldn't apply the updated firmware. I had to move it to a different computer to apply the firmware. Since the update its worked like a champ.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Samsung Magician made it easy to copy existing C drive with OS on to the Samsung SSD, making the C drive much more useful. It's my second 990 2TD SSD for 2 desktops and I couldn't be happier.

Even though it lacks physical dram unlike the 990 pro, the 990 evo plus paired with a modern system works flawlessly. The Samsung Magician software is amazing too, being able to monitor and tweak every aspect of my ssd is super useful!

Files open in a blink, applications launch seamlessly, and the overall system responsiveness feels incredibly smooth. This enhanced performance boosts productivity and allows for a more enjoyable workflow. Most PC builders already know about Samsung's SSDs, with this being my first step into the upgrade world. Cloning my drive over was the quickest and easiest process. It's a worthwhile investment for anyone seeking a significant improvement in their digital life. I probably would go for a Pro version next time; I feel this was a nice sweet spot. Stop reading and add to cart.
