[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We got the smaller Zojirushi 5.5 cup 1L Pressure Induction Heating Rice Cooker NW-JEC10 and have enjoyed cooking both red rice and jasmine rice in less time than our prior cooker, with excellent results; then tried Scottish Porridge Oats, which also came out perfectly. The bowl is thicker and heavier than our prior cooker, so has a very solid feel to it. This cooker is a joy to use plus easy to clean. Further, the heating mode means irregular work hours don't condemn me to cold or overcooked meals when finally arriving home. We even like the newer stand-up rice spoon. Our older larger Zojirushi will gain renewed life handing down to family with kids. Great products!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Premium look and feel. Looks real nice and makes great rice. I wouldn't particularly say that it makes rice substantially better than any other Zojirushi rice cooker would though... Definitely a luxury item and an accent countertop piece.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Replaced my previous rice cooker of 6 years which was also quite good and why I returned; I really like everything about this model except the display it is far too dark and needs either adjustable backlit settings or to simply be brighter full time. I did not have this issue with my older model NVC18, additionally the fonts are so small I must put on glasses to clearly read them which I did not with the NVC18.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] High quality machine that cooks with extreme precision and thoughtfulness. Every grain of rice is always perfectly cooked. If money is not a forethought, the NW-JEC10/18 represents the highest form of rice cooking.

Another great unit, I have had many, never cause one failed. Just wanted to get new features. This gets more use than any other appliance I have. Breakfast bowls, rice, quinoa, can do it all, and GABA was the feature that made me buy the first one. Been making so many different varieties: Forbidden (black), Red (Thai), Brown Basmati, Short grain brown, Oats, Faro, Rye berries.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Rice comes out with more definition and more uniform than my last NP-HBC18. Taste probably 15% better than regular Induction Heating Zojirushi. Price is probably the only concern.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) improved the texture of each grain of rice. Have moved from seaside to high dessert, it was hard to get the texture of rice just right. Cooking rice 4-5 times a week, this has greatly improved my enjoyment of rice, after our move.

This is my second machine, I had a Neurofuzzy previously, and this is a huge upgrade. Jasmine rice is perfect, Japanese rice is perfect. I have mixed dashi powder, ginger, and scallions for great mixed rice. The reason I upgraded was support for long grain rice and steel cut oats. I make steel cut oats ever morning. I use the water amount from the package vs the bowl marking because I like them softer. The gaba rice is very nice I schedule it for dinner so the long cook time does not bother me.
